Would direct links to soft-deleted threads still work? I know there are some games that have flavour setup in the signup threads (e.g. Ozone Underground) and would hate to have those links break.
Excellent point, they would not. It may be best then to create a new sub forum and move old signups into there. In that case, the links would still work, and we'd clean up a lot of the clutter. (Keep in mind that this would only be applied to sign-ups for games that are complete due to the reason tordeck mentioned)
Is it possible for the tagging feature to use regular expressions? If so the Basic #XX could be part of the tag.
Yes, but that would end up involving a lot more effort and skill than the people in charge of spreading it out either should be asked to do or require. Right now, you can see the example of how I've been post-fixing older threads at the bottom of page one.
To continue from a point Arcadic raised, I don't actually think we need the # part of the basic titles. It was just a standard that was picked up at some point in the past that doesn't particularly serve any need. I see no reason for it unless people want it.
Game-type colorings are now available when you create a new thread or when you advanced edit the first post of a thread. You should see me and game hosts changing thread prefixes to the new system over the coming week. I'm starting to consider that we'll need an additional one for sign-up threads as well.
As an aside, how would people feel about the soft-deleting or demarkation of sign-up threads? Right now, sign-up threads for games that have already completed do little more than clog up the forum. (Soft-deleting means more or less that the thread gets hidden to normal members)
I'll just chime in with: if someone wants to break/ruin a game, they don't need 'thank you's to do it. This is the major reason I just like a blanket "Don't be a dick" rule. I don't care whether or not you use thank yous in games I host, just don't abuse them.
More or less, use some common sense, and we'll all get along fine.
I'm going to make this an informal poll. Here are the current pending suggestions:
Basic - Proper Game Title Mini - Proper Game Title Normal - Proper Game Title Specialty - Proper Game Title FQT - Proper Game Title PCQ - Proper Game Title League - Proper Game Title
If anybody uses a different skin where any of these are hard to see, please speak up.
A new feature is being tested out/developed and I'm here to see if members/fellow council members thought it would be helpful for us. The feature is customizable thread prefixes. Basically, we can have custom HTML code for prefixes of our choosing.
From my understanding, it is an additional drop-down option when creating/modifying a thread and in our case could be used to signify game type (much like we do now, but we can customize the formatting of the text).
Say we want to color-code game types, threads would now appear in the forum like: Basic - Proper Game Title Mini - Proper Game Title Normal - Proper Game Title Specialty - Proper Game Title
Or whatever formatting you want. I thought that might work nice for easier distinguishing of games here. Anybody interested? If so, I need to let the admins know what we want and how it should be formatted.
I'm only going to post this once. Everyone cut out the trolling and flaming. This is your only and final warning. Infractions will be handed out from this point forward.

Can do. I'll try to find a color/format that works.

The examples were merely meant as an example of what could be done. We can chose however we want the blocks to be represented on the screen.
Yes, that shouldn't be an issue.

Personally, I believe the wording is fine. Reading between the lines of the members not knowing who each other are is a dead giveaway.
Sorry to everyone that I needed to replace out. I just don't have the time that I used to for playing mafia.

Ah, those systems bring back fond memories. I followed the same path.
As to your question, yes.
It's a pretty old PC game.
