I'm surprised that there are some people who think Slovenia can sneak past us Yanks. Watch for Jozy Altidore to break out big time as he did in the Confederations World Cup. I think this is the year where the Stars and Stripes prove that they can play with the world's best.

Thierry Henry's handball was pretty blatant. Really big shame on the ref for missing that call. However, there is no way they can replay the whole game. This sort of stuff happens all the time in Baseball and the players just keep playing, its part of the game.
I agree. I have been playing this game everyday for weeks now. I can't stop playing. What exactly is the 360 control? Have you played be a pro mode? I like the idea but I'm not sure how well it would work...

So the IOC decided earlier today to award the 2016 Olympic Games to Rio, Brazil instead of Chicago, Tokio, and Madrid.
It will be the first time the games will ever be held not only in Brazil, but in all of South America, and only the second time they will be held in Latin America (after Mexico City 1968).
In my opinion this is going to prove invaluable to the sporting culture in the country. I think sports currently don't receive half the attention it needs to in Brazil as a tool of social development (aside from football/soccer, for the most part). Hopefully the Olympics (and the FIFA World Cup two years earlier) will not only help modernize the country's sporting infrastructure, but also the sporting culture as a whole.

However I feel cheated that Chicago got knocked out so early considering it was supposed to win (at least that's what the American media has been saying, I have no idea how one can be the projected winner) and you are getting the 2014 World Cup. On a separate note, I hope America wins its bid for the 2018 or 2022 World Cup. If not, I think we will have a problem...
I disagree with the three more hours in school idea. After all a person can concentrate and retain information for so long. Why do you think we have homework? It is so we do work outside of the classroom and learn on our own. I am, however, in favor of the no summer vacation idea as long as we are willing to fund for air conditioning in schools. Have you ever tried to learn Calculus in 96 degree weather? Neither have I, and I sure as hell don't want to try. I think the Big O is trying to much here. First lets try to fix the economy, two wars, and healthcare first shall we?
Jiffy Photo Baseball Cards and Gamer's Realm are the two shops that I go to in Jersey. Jiffy's has a more competetive crowd than Gamer's Realm but there are alot more people that go there and the guys that run the store know ALOT more about the game than the guys at Gamer's Realm...

This is no true in the least. there were several other plans offered they all got shot down. One plan was to give a 5K tax credit and suspend payroll taxes for 6 months.
That would have been a far greater boost the the economy. I wasn't for any of the so called stimulus packages because they weren't stimulus packages.
It would be a great stimulus so that citizens can afford an insurance plan that will screw them over once the patient needs it most.
Private insurance providers will lose thousands of customers as businesses shed people that are below that 8% mark. they will lose millions of dollars and not be able to compete against the government plans. again there is no competition against government.
God forbid the companies that exploit the sick and elderly lose money. Oh the humanity!
Then instead of dragging the rest of society down to support these people how about we raise their level and increase their job skills so they can get a better job. There are never few option in america. People have a millions of options in america it is whether or not you as a person take advantage of that.
Yes because instead of paying for their health insurance and dragging down society we should pay for their college or even graduate school education and drag down society.
