So Adaptive Automaton reads "as it enters play choose a creature type. Adaptive Automaton is that Creature Type". If I pick Ally and have a Kazandu Blademaster on the field, does K-Blade gain a counter?
What I mean to say is, does K-Blade's ability check before Adaptive's Choose a Creature Type ability resolves?
I have a question about transforming creatures in EDH/Commander. I hope this is the right place to ask.
If I have a permanent which transforms, must it transform into something in my commander's color?
For example, Elbrus, the Binding Blade has a colorless commander identity, it is a 7 cmc artifact. Usually these can go in any commander deck.
When it transforms however, it becomes Withengar Unbound which is CLEARLY A BLACK CARD and usually would require a black-identity commander.
Hold on to your keyboard because I have a question about the legends rule and the stack!
So I have a legendary creature on the field with an enters-the-battlefield effect,
Say Dragonlord Atarka
If I were to produce a copy token of Atarka, say by Twinflame
Would the copies ETB effect go on the stack before the legends rule forced me to sacrifice it?
I've been told that if I have Mirror Mockery on a
creature with Haste, say a Monastery Swiftspear
and I attack with the Haste-Creature, the copy produced by Mirror Mockery
cannot attack in this combat.
Are they wrong?
Can somebody please explain why they are right?
Is on the field
And I cast a card like Ojutai's Command
Targeting a creature card in the graveyard and a creature spell
Since they are creature effects/objects, does Battlefield Thaumaturge
Limit the casting cost from 4 to 2, or does his effect only occur with
Creatures on the battlefield?
I hope this isn't too much of a noob question;
If I have a Ornithopter on the field
and I cast Ensoul Artifact on it - which reads "IS 5/5 CREATURE"
then Twinflame it...
Is the copy a 0/2 Ornithopter, or a 5/5 Ornithopter?
I swing in with Silumgar Assassin and he blocks with Nyxborn Rollicker,
then he casts Butcher's Glee on Nyxborn Rollicker.
Does the casting of Butcher's Glee negate Nyxborn's role as a blocker? Because Nyxborn is now a 4/1 and Silumgar Assassin "can't be blocked by creatures of a power greater than it"
I might just put together a casual allies deck then
What I mean to say is, does K-Blade's ability check before Adaptive's Choose a Creature Type ability resolves?
Thanks!
makes it so my opponent cannot play blue creature spells
in this case could Glamerdye work as a counterspell?

So... how does this work?
Thanks!
my opponent is at 1 health and has a Fugitive Wizard on the board.
He swings the wizard, and I cast Cruel Feeding on the Fugitive Wizard, giving it +1/0 and Lifelink.
Is the game a tie or a loss?
Though I do have Dictate of Heliod in my Sideboard
Recently I have had some success splashing red into a Black White Warriors deck.
But now I find myself debating whether
Secure the Wastes
or
Collected Company
should have a spot in my deck. I could fairly easily splash green for Company, and all of my creatures are Warriors in deck anyway.
So in your opinion which is the better card? A bunch of 1/1 Warriors at instant speed or actual warrior cards?
