Here is a list I am currently running. Would love some feedback.

Game plan is to land a turn 2 threat and either combo on turn 3 or keep them off balance. Elspeth on turn 3 with a turn 2 Geist is pretty brutal. Originally ran 4 Coralhelms and 1 Elspeth, but she over performed and I added a 2nd.

... A few interesting tools I have been testing over the past few days.
    1) I'd strongly recommend some # of horizon canopy, particularly in knight builds, with enough mana it allows the infinite life combo to function as a demonic tutor, rather than a vampiric.
    2) If your running knight, test an arena in the board. It provides an uncountable way to disrupt twin, and in abzan/jund matchups a knight or large voice token can generally beat anything in a fight.

Please follow up with your results, I am very interested in making KotR a strong addition.

Have you had any thoughts on Sejiri Steppe to protect the combo? It was mentioned a few pages back, and seems like it could do some work main deck or maybe out of the board? Bojuka Bog could also be nice to hose the mirror along with other decks leaning on the gy.

    Some more Blood Artist pros:
+ can be played with rally the ancestors
+ plays around leyline of sanctity, worship

    Redcap pros:
+ plays around soul sisters (killing them)

Great points, thanks for pointing out.

...There is a three -card combo with Blood Artist, but it requires Redcap too (Blood Artist, Redcap, and either Melira or Anafenza)

Thanks for sharing this interaction, completely glazed over and missed it. This is compelling enough to find a slot for both.

Hm, I think one Angel and one Redcap is legit. I have 21 non dork targets and rarely fizzle my CCs. Sometimes you just have a bad day... that's maybe to compensate the huge power of that card.
Hm, RiP is a thing... but then Goyfs aren't an option, too. What kind of non grave related stuff would you suggest? KotR at least can fetch Township.

I am mainly just thinking out loud. Going wide and building high with the Gavonys is a very solid Plan B when graveyard hate stops the combo until we draw an answer for the said hate card. In that plan, KotR starting as a 2/2 without the gy is a good base to build upon. I would presume we are far more likely to face Relics over the course of a tourney than we are Rest in Peace, which once they are forced into popping it, we can pull the trigger on the combo if the opportunity presents itself.

I keep going back and forth on Redcap and Blood Artist.

    Redcap:
    Pros
    • can act as targeted removal
    • combos with just Anafenza and Melira by targeting himself
    • combos with Anafenza or Melira plus a sac outlet
    • resistent to removal
    • can attack without the help of Gavony or Anafenza bolsters

    Cons
    • cannot be hit by Collected Company
    • double black can come up as a problem

    Blood Artist:
    Pros
    • can be hit by Collected Company
    • easier to Chord for
    • acts as a proxy Melira if the infinitely finite life combo is assembled (Melira giving the infinitely finite bolster triggers)
    • can shave a turn off of the beat down plan by all out swinging and saccing post combat (risky, I know)
    • much like saccing to scry in response to removal can be incremental value over the course of a long game
    • can make combat math a bit more convoluted and confusing, requiring a higher level of mental game from your opponent giving us a slight edge
    • style points?

    Cons
    • cannot attack without the help of Gavony or Anafenza bolsters
    • does nothing on his own
    • requires assembling 4 cards instead of just 3

Stuhl, I share your feelings about KotR. If Rest in Peace becomes side board tech of choice, that may change however. Maybe having our combo leaning on the graveyard and a portion of our plan B (KotR beats) leaning on it as well may not be the best approach. Same can be said for Varolz.

Back when I played Pod, I was always on the Archangel/Feeder side of camp because of the ability to close a game out via combo without the need of the graveyard. I have not tried her out in this new Melira Renaissance yet because I want to maximize Collected Company as much as possible. It hurt my heart to watch Sam Pardee's recent videos on CFB and see the majority of Collected Companys flips were under par.

I am currently at 9 non-creature spells in a 22 land build running only 4 mana dorks. My gut tells me Archangel won't fly in my current configuration. I may go back to the drawing board and tweak for the angel.

I am really enjoying this discussion, and have been following quietly for some time now. Kinda dreading Charolette, when we may be getting a definitively tuned list from the Sam's (hopefully Black and Pardee) of the world. But the bright side is our discussion becomes more focused on targeting and maneuvering specific metas.

I am really liking Knight of the Reliquary. Has anyone else given her a few slots in the main?

With her in the deck, I have gone down to 1 of each Gavony Township and Vault of the Archangel.

    Things I like:
    • potiential large body
    • psuedo ramp allowing a 22 count land base
    • 2 in play is gross

    Things I don't like:
    • large body can just be chumped
    • hard casted can feel slow if the goal is to grow with activations
    • takes slots in the deck away for combo redundancy

Currently have her at the full playset, would love to hear other's thoughts or experiences.

Over the Holiday break, I started altering my Legacy deck. I have attached my first 5 playsets: Aether Vial, Flickerwisp, Mom, Swords and Thalia.

I've done a few other alters before starting this project, but I have learned a lot doing these playsets in terms of consistent techniques.

Would love some feedback and tips on how to improve these.
