Can someone help me decide what to throw in when playing duel commander? I.e, Divining top, Obelisk, Sol Ring, ect, ect is banned. What can I use in place of them? Totally out of ideas.
The card is fake, sure, but what is the problem in returning it to whom you bought it from? Is he not willing to refund what you spent on it? Otherwise it seems like you want it for personal reasons imo.
Didn't see that you said he wouldn't refund it. Not sure what to do about that then.
The enchantment is on the field and my opponent is at ~-30 life. I abrupt decay the enchantment and in response he flings his 43/43 creature at my face, do i lose first because lethal damage now is on top of the stack or something like this? Also can he sacrifice spirit guides at instant speed and use Lightning Storm to kill me in response to abrupt decaying or even golgari carming his Phyrexian Unlife?
Should I rather/can I interupt his card draw with Ad Nauseaum with instant speed enchantment removal targeting Phyrexian Unlife?
Less concern with the matchups and more on finding something fun. my first standard event i saw a tempered steel deck and litterally watched a guy pour his entire hand onto the field turn 1. it was the most amazing thing i had ever seen and since then ive been playing a casual affinity deck. ive had the deck together since scars rotated and i managed to get my opals and while its not fine tuned as far as my meta goes but i enjoy the fact i can dump my hand turn 1
A guy at my LGS has a very good Pyrexian Unlife deck. Turn 2 or 3 kills every first game. Dumps his entire library into the graveyard and summons a 36/36. Really cool to watch.
I have literally one deck, it is modern, it is Jund. Sure the cards within move and mold but its still Jund. I like. Jund. Its gud.
I think you have to factor in ban-ability of the deck as well if you're going to stick with one. Tried and true older decks like infect, jund, etc. are probably not going to go anywhere anytime soon. There was a guy here who had one deck and it was a ballin tier 1 POD deck; after it was banned he quit magic.
If I said "what do 'jund with ramp' decks have for lands?" it would have stayed -_- . Nevertheless I am still looking for more input onto what should be run for this kind of deck.
Right. Makes sense. It just combos well with courser+chandra I guess. Blehhh. Looks like I need to get myself ~5 additional fetches. Won't be eating for a while
I think I should elaborate why my deck shouldn't be in Deckbuilding. I'm looking for a general answer to what Jund Planeswalker Modern decks should be running for lands. If you happen to want to balance mine, go ahead. Just thought I should post the deck in question I am using for the color and mana-ramp in-case it makes a difference.
Other than that, practically the same sorcerys and instants.
Lets assume I have access to all lands. What numbers of each type of land should I be running? (i.e 6 fetchlands, 1 Urborg, 10 Shocks, 3 basic, ect. ect.)
I'm not asking you to balance my colors; but what am I roughly aiming for in this deck?
If I have a fetchland that is part black can I fetch Urborg, tomb of Yawgmoth?
I know:
7/18/2014: Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth isn’t a Swamp while it’s not on the battlefield.

My deck is quite literally Pierre Mondon's Jund Planeswalkers as seen here: http://sales.starcitygames.com/deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=71124
Lets assume I have Liliana of the Veil instead of Vraska the Unseen, and Birds of Paradise instead of Elvish Mystic. Tarmogoyf in place of Sylvan Caryatid (I am mulling over having 2 of both. Would like feedback on this as well).

Just getting confirmation...
