Well I prefer some variety in my decks in general. Phalanx/Anafenza both give your team counters but in different ways. Anafenza is a better body but limits you if in multiples.
Arashin Foremost and Fabled hero are also the same idea. Sometimes no spell to trigger heroic sometimes no warriors on the board. I just like the versatility in general.
DenProtect and Hidden Dragonslayer speak for themselves. I needed lifelink someway (seeker) and since they're warriors I can have them as Bolstered Flying Double Striking Lifelink Tramplers. With vigilance if I put in Dromokas Herald.
The Fleecemane doesnt do much and is a late mana sink, but theyre there instead of hooded hydras cuz 3/3 is better than 2/2.
The deck can also transform into a morph/manifest deck with whisper wood Elemental and Mastery of the Unseen and all that but it requires a more mana dork strategy which I dont want. Daghatar is the only 4 drop.
A board would consist of manifest cards above as well as those Ordeal cards. Citadel Siege and Elitescale Gaurd are amazing in this deck but require that extra mana. Also Mardu Woe Reaper to exile Deathmists.
At the moment I would say B/R is the best colours to draft since Dash is so strong, plus B/R has the best removal in these sets. Some exploit and Formidable helps things too.
However drafting Enemy Colours is the better choice.
B/W - Splash Blue for Ojutai or Silumgar Broods
W/R - Splash Green for Dromoka or Atarka Brood
R/U - Splash Black for Kolaghan or Silumgar Brood
U/G - Splash White for Ojutai or Dromoka Brood
G/B - Splash Red for Atarka or Kolaghan Brood.
So instead of locking yourself to one Brood in Allied pairs, Drafting enemy Colours gives you most options of Clan Abilities, as well as lets you splash one colour for 2 possible Broods of Dragons. The M/R/U or Frf R dragons. It just depends if they get passed or not.
Hi. I was wondering regarding Hooded Hydra and its snakes. If I've controlled the Hydra for a full turn, and lets say it dies, when can the snakes attack?
ie If I kill my own Hydra during my opponents end step, can they attack for me on my next turn?
or, If I respond to someone exiling my Hooded Hydra on my first Main phase by killing it myself, can I attack with the snakes on that attack phase?

Built Abzan Heroic before Abzan or Heroic were a thing. Dropped the Black cuz Mana Issues so now Ive been on this G/W Heroic Morphing Warriors.
Its a real deal deck that can Stabilize against Red or Control.
