I don't work in education, but I do work with individuals on the autism spectrum. I've been thinking about a similar program. Magic may be a little inaccessible. But maybe another CCG geared towards younger players would work. Pokemon & Yugioh are designed for kids and may get you the same affect. Plus, the card names & artwork are a little more kid & parent friendly.
Have you tried hitting him with a rolled up newspaper?
This.
But if he's having other players call you, he's got to be stopped. I would show up at the LCS once. Tell him face to face in front of all the other players that you're not interested in playing, and the next time he calls you're going to call 911 to file an incident report. If that doesn't sufficiently humiliate him into losing your number, then I think you're just going to have to call the coppers.
This might be mildly off topic. But do you guys get any hits on packs from big box stores? I always look longingly at the wall of cards, but I never get anything decent (nothing good in any MTG, baseball or hockey packs).
Played a little bit in high school before turning my attention to running video game tournaments. Then I got busy working in sports. Coming back to MTG and I'm trying to contribute to the community as an independent TO (not that WOTC makes that easy...)
I'd say "if you're from Philly, say hi." But I know better than to ask other people from Philly to be nice to a stranger...its just not our style.
