This is the question that came up on FNM. Player 1 had Willbreaker on the battlefield with another creature that can bink for 1 damage. Player 2 came at me with his Gideon as an indestructible 12/12 creature. I responded by using my creature to bink his Gideon for one damage. The question were asking is, do I get his Planwalker? or does he keep Gideon because it turns back into a Planswalker losing his creature status at end of turn?
Hi Everyone,
I have a question on flying crane technique. Player A tapped 3 creatures to attack Player B. Player B declared a blocker for each attacking creature. So attackers and blockers are declared. Player A then cast an instant spell Flying Crane Technique! Player B has nothing in response.
This it the way we played it. Since Player A had his creatures already tapped and attacking, he got to Untap all three and they had flying and double strike enabling them to deal a killing blow to Player B, because he had nothing to block flying. So the UNTAP ALL CREATURES makes Player A's creatures able to block when Player C turn was coming up next.
It's great to be playing Magic again. Started playing in the late 90's during high school but fell off the radar for me. Started again about 3 years ago, little brother got me back into it, and been playing hard at the kitchen table mostly every Friday we can. Love watching other friends and family get hooked on playing Magic!!
I've been reading the Ruling Forum for a few months now. A lot of info and great advice I've been reading from everyone, thank you. All this knowledge I've been learning has been correcting a lot of the kitchen table arguments we have, lol. Makes the game better with a little heat in the middle!
Something I have to mention. My wife gave me a great early Christmas gift last Christmas. I love the art work the artist do for us on the cards. My lovely wife contacted a local artist who draws for MTG and we got to meet, chat and he signed a few cards for me he drawn. Great guy, down to earth, doesn't know much about playing the game but he puts a lot of love and emotion into his drawing. So to all the artist of MTG, I say THANK YOU. Without your. Artistic skills I believe Magic wouldn't be that much fun.
I understand how it works now. Thank you for the clarification on my post. Makes you really have to READ THE CARD! Also, understand what each part does.
I believe he would still live this turn, because angel's grace reads until end of turn. Since he castes the card during your turn, his life total would stay at 1 until your turn is over.
Hello Everyone,
Need some info on a game I had tonight, 4 players in multiplayer. This is what happened. Player A had 1 life left so Player B attacked with his creature that was gonna do 6 points of damage, equipped with LIFELINK. Me being Player C waited for Player B to tap his his creature to attack. Player A had no creatures able to block Player B's creature. So once Player B tapped his creature and blockers where not available I tapped my Prodigal Sorcerer targeting Player A's 1 life point killing him.
So my Prodigal Sorcerer ability is on the stack! No one else casts anything. My 1 point of damage resolves.
So I believe, could be wrong, does SAB check come into effect and Player A loses, so Player B's creature does no damage gaining the life link of 6 life and is tapped??

Did we perform this correctly?
