If my opponent gains control of my permanent with confiscation coup then I cast hostage taker, exiling that permanent, then hostage taker leaves play before I cast it from exile, does the permanent come back under my control (as I am the card's owner and it has no memory of it's previous owner) or under my opponent's control (as they controlled it originally)?
It seems like Fiend Hunter has no upside over Fairgrounds Warden in this archetype. Hunter's mana cost isn't too easy and the cases when we want to exile our own creature are so rare.
Despite the cost I still like Fiend Hunter because of the ability to sac him while his etb trigger is on the stack to permanently exile an opposing creature.
One thing about Fiend Hunter (vs. Warden), mostly when Viscera Seer is down but also against aggro, can Fiend your own creature, especially off of CoCo, to protect a combo piece until you have it, and then have a creature your opponent does not want to block or remove.
For week one, I'll be running 1 ballista in the main. I've been trying to clear with judges the shortcutting of infinite (not actually infinite, but a very large number) of duskwatch activations.
As of now, it doesn't seem that all judges will allow us to shortcut. After that period, then I'll cut ballista
That could be a tricky one for sure. How do you normally propose that the duskwatch shortcut would work?
@Sxnr1se: I ran Day's Undoing for a while when it first appeared. I had a similar experience to pzbw7z. On occasions it was amazing (e.g. dumpiing Twin's carefully manicured hand while refilling my own really gave me a warm feeling inside ), but in my experience, far more often it felt like a 'win more' play or was just stuck in my hand for fear of helping my opponent at least as much as myself, especially post board.
@Rabbit2310: Regarding Temur Battle Rage, I had two and then a single main deck for a few weeks, but rarely got to use it to full effect. Eventually it moved to the side and then went completely. I haven't missed it. As Ayiluss said, Galvanic Blast just seems better in far more situations.
Did you mean Renegade Freighter? As a new alternative have you looked at Untethered Express? It costs 1 more but has 1 more toughness making it less vulnerable to popular burn and it can be crewed by all your 1 power guys.
You also have very little defence against flyers and no way of dealing with non-creature artefacts or enchantments. Maybe that's something you could think about for your sideboard.
Pia's Revolution looks strong, espescially when the opponent is already low on health. Worth testing.
Only problem is what to cut for it.
Yes it could be fun, especially with 0cc artifacts. That could make for some BIG arcbound ravagers when they can't or won't pay. Welding Jar and mox opal also have interesting posibilities even without the ravager.
I'm also liking the way it potentially reduces the power of quite a few sweepers.
As for what to take out, yes we really don't have much ro choose from in the 3mana slot.
I would like to post the current list that I'm running.
Is a standard WR vehicles that gave me a lot of success in my local Playstore. I won the last two FNMs and my current meta is plaged with GB delirium, UB Zombies, RG Werewolfs, Esper Control, GR energy, etc...
Congratulations on your results and an interesting list.
I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I'd pay a subscription for an ad free mtgsalvation.
Even a small sub would probably bring in more revenue than an individual brings in through ad clicks etc. Does the site make more than $2 a month from my interaction with ads? I doubt it.
Quite apart from the need for a decent placeholder, as it stands the ads have managed to screw with every browser I've tried.
As I said quite a few posts back: I think this deck true quality will show in how good it can work against a sideboarded flaying tendrils. I'm running a version with selfless spirit in the sideboard, so that "takes" care of much of the burn. However I still don't know what to draw in from the sideboard against black-midrangy decks. (Which will sideboard in flaying tendrils[/c]). Always watching seems to be too pacifist and still waek (same cmc slot, yet it won't protect everything flaying tendrils kills).
Could Gideon, Ally of Zendikar help out here with his ultimate - especially if you're running 4 copies, or is it just too slow?
Is everyone having the same problem getting hold of them on mtgo? I've only managed to pick up one. A second is proving somewhat difficult,
If my opponent gains control of my permanent with confiscation coup then I cast hostage taker, exiling that permanent, then hostage taker leaves play before I cast it from exile, does the permanent come back under my control (as I am the card's owner and it has no memory of it's previous owner) or under my opponent's control (as they controlled it originally)?
Would it be safe to give it the Mirrorworks slot? I think I'm going to have to test it out.

I never thought of that

PS Borderland Marauder isn't legal in standard.

I am assuming it is because of budget that you play Stone Quarry instead of additional Inspiring Vantage and Needle spires.

So with all this success, I suppose incoming dedicated hate is an an inevitability.
I'm definately packing 4 x Selfless Spirit. does anyone think more drastic steps need to be taken?
3 W/R vehicles in the top 8 too. His decklist is here.
Very encouraging. I really liked how Weaver of Lightning performed out of the sb.
The final starts about 8:52:00 into the recording.
They also did a dech tech of a typical list from the event.
@GW2GuruUser7586 Probably a silly question but what are you boarding in the Reckless Bushwhackers against?
