You'd be hard pressed to make a good 100cs deck from a Standard pool though.
Thats what I think would make it interesting though. In order to be successful, you'd just need to play your cards right - rather than have an encyclopedic knowledge of and access to practically every card ever printed.
I'm under the impression that Pauper EDH and Prismatic Singleton are fairly popular, but I really don't find them appealing. Also, they almost always seem to be played in Classic or Modern.
