Hey guys, I wanna build a somewhat-budgeted Stax deck. I typically am not too worried about budget, but Crucible of Worlds is too expensive to run a playset of. Are there any other cards that are cheaper costing that pair well with Smokestack?
This has been bugging me for a while. I full well understand that thoughtsieze is a good card, but $15 good? Can someone explain to me how this card got to be $15 dollars? How does the whole magic economy work to make simple, yet effective cards cost $14 dollars more than a cards like despise or duress?
Very well, this is a casual deck at the moment, but I would like to be competitive at some point, so how would this fair against other decks?
The purpose of this deck is aggression, as it has low level flyings, which are very destructive early game. As I said, Chandra's -7 paired with congregate also allows you to gain a ton of life, which is useful.
As far as this goes, I use Hordeling Outburst, Raise the Alarm, and Goblinslide to swarm the battlefield with creatures, and do early damage. Another great tactic is to either draw Chandra or use Liliana's -2 to get a Chandra, then use Liliana's -2 to put a congregate on top of my library, then use Chandra's -7 to multiply it times 3, and with the amount of creatures this deck brings to the battlefield, the lifegain is absurd.
Hey guys what do you think of this deck? This is the very first deck I've ever built on my own and would like some constructive criticism!
The goal of the deck is to get out many low power creatures, I guess that's called Aggro. Any suggestions?
This is modern BTW, however I play it casual.

Thank you all for responding. So after suggestion I attempted to help one of my friends, he replied and decided that he is going to buy a planeswalker. Do you all think that a beginner who has never purchased his own cards should go right for a planeswalker? Or am I wrong? I will post several deck lists later tonight
Hey guys I believe that I put this in the right spot. I play magic with my friends, and we are all pretty into it, or have been at least. Lately my friends have been getting extremely angry at me for winning, and I'm not quite sure how to handle this lol. I'll win and they say things like "This isn't even fun anymore, I'm gonna quit playing" or "This is all pay to win". It's just ridiculous to me because the one who gets the angriest has a blue/white deck comprised of over 100 cards, and he doesn't know what they even do. So how do you guys handle people like this? it's just unpleasant and makes winning very uncomfortable.
Hello to all I'm new here so if I break any rules I apologize
I've been playing magic for 2 months, so as you can see, I'm pretty new. I need some help with deck building because I can't seen to beat my friends deck. I have a red/black aggro deck but I'm thinking I need to
Switch. His deck is green/white/black and is absolutely infuriating. His black creatures have life link and all his other cards give him health. It is not unusual for him to gain 20 life a turn, as he has 4 cards that give him 10 health. I started playing magic for fun and it is just irritating at this point. So my questions are:
1. How would you handle a player like this who no matter what won't get down past 20 health? How should I handle this?
2. Any basic deck building advice? I've looked online but it would be nice to have some specific information regarding a black/red deck
