I am considering purchasing this card from a seller who lives about 4.5 hours away, but before I make that trip I want to be sure that it's real. The first red flag is that he's asking for $990, stating that he's "not too sure what these cards are worth these days, and just want to get rid of them."
That being said, the card appears to be in pristine BGS-10 condition, and does not have the signature white dots in the four corners. Any thoughts here??
I've never understood why Timetwister isn't seen as the great card that it is. Quite frankly, Ancestrall Recall is a weaker card than Timetwister imo. It's power is best suited to true vintage play, where you have a deck full of 4 Lotuses and 4 of each Moxen. You were able to get an extreme mana advantage. This was, of course, before the Restricted lists. It should go without saying that any powerful card is made ineffective by being restricted along with its fellow cards that it was initially designed to work with (being able to have 4 of each Mox and 4 Lotus, as mentioned above). If you limit any cards effectiveness, of course it's not seen for the powerhouse that it is.
