    T1: Land, elvish mystic
T2: Land, heritage druid, Copperhorn scout , Tap 3 dorks cast Archdruid
T3: Land, Ezuri, tap archdruid you are adding 5 mana and use overruns ezuri abillity, you then attack with everything you can (copperhorn included) and untap creatures (still attacking), tap archdruid again and overrun twice while attacking (still 5 mana because of 5 elves in play) thats: (3 dorks (2/2 + 2/2 + 2/2 which obtain +6+6 and trample from x2 overrun))

If i am not mistaken..24 dmg

I mean if you read it, it says I just have some free time (ie: 3 months) to experiment with new cards before I head out to Kobe. Chances are that my gut's suspicions are correct and Lifecrafter isn't good enough, and that I'll inevitably go back to it.

Very self aware that not drawing a card doesn't mean its bad - just wish I woulda drawn them >0 times this weekend when it mattered.

Yeah i do think lead is better in all ways. Haven't tested it but in theory i don't think bestiary is better. And many good players here where i play concur. Tell us about the experimentations and lets see if it works. Im getting the bestiaries these days so i will be checking them out as well.

    Epilogue -
It was a pretty wild weekend. Devastated to not at least cash. But there’s more tournaments around the corner so it's not the worst feeling. I’m almost certainly heading to Kobe in May, so here’s to hoping that I can rep the boys in green much better then. I’ve been very disappointed in Lead the Stampede in the board, mostly because I never draw it! I’m likely going to experiment with one Lifecrafter and Nissa, Vital Force in the board after seeing it do a lot of work.

My list from now on, for reference:

If push comes to shove, then I’ll default back to Lead but for the mean time, I might as well experiment.

    Hope it was readable.

First of all, thanks for the report. Very insightful. I was enthusiastic about lead the stampede but according to what you say you had bad luck not drawing them...i think it's bad luck. Every time i included and got the card it was a breath of fresh air and got like 4-5 creatures in my hand due to it. I don't know if bestiary is better or not but...i want to know what real purpose you have not to include them. I particularly use 1x lead the stampede mainboard but im thinking about adding some more on the SB. Can you give me more reasons why are you not considering them any longeR?

I am very interesting in your deck with the Copperhorn Scout.
So this night I tried it (more or less) on Xmage. Only three games. Three win against Merfolk (2-0) GW Soul Sisters (2-0) and affinity (2-1).
In the first game against GW Soul Sisters I had two scout on the board and playing with them I was able to activate ezuri's overrun seven times
Never had before a 22/22 Elvish Mystic Smile

    Main Differences:
    1) Manabase
    2) Main Selfless spirit
    3) Bestiary instead of Lead (For my first test better respect to Grixis Jund/Abzan and especially against all midrange/control decks)
Let me know what you think about these changes

Well in theory i'm liking the deck. Seems weird for me not to have nettle sentinel but i have been thinking about adding copperhorn scout for awhile now because they give us a way to block, convoke for chord or adding mana with heritage druid and re-use archdruid after attacking thus giving us an edge over certain decks. I could see this working out. Need to test it out. In MB i would: -1 chord of calling, +1 lead the stampeede. Regarding the manabase...i dunno, i fell in love with westvale abbey, i have my doubts if nykthos really adds to the deck...i don't know if fetches are really necessary. Regarding SB i would do the following: -1 viscera seer, -2 fracturing gust, +1 reclamation sage, +1 chord of calling, -1 lifecrater's bestiary, +2 stain the mind (i can't tell how many times it saved games).

Unless your opponent is using red spells based deck or at leats 1 or 2 basic lands which i am not seeing in the meta at the moment..i doubt they will have the means to destroy the creature. And most probably they are dead by the time they manage to get the means to destroy the magus.

Guys, i have debated on this same forum months and months ago about including 1x Magus of the moon into the main deck and 1x in the sideboard. I am seeing alot of weird and non-basic manabase in the meta at the moment. It could give us an edge over them very quickly and ensure a game 1. What do you guys think? And how can we include this in our deck without screwing our manabase? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I was checking on this old decklist:

    https://deckstats.net/decks/4459/308069-naya-elves/en

And wanted to do something like that but trying to add black into the mix for the shaman. But i dunno if it is possible. If you guys see it viable and if anyone can help give insight on this/Any suggestions would be much appreciated

I still haven't transformed Westvale abbey while testing yet officially but in theory it's another win con. Yeah they can path it but i tend to use it usually when they are wyping my board of creatures then i transform. In any case if they path it i got one less path to worry about. If they dont path it..it's game over for them. I would love to make room for Ghost quarter but we got so many non-basic lands already to make room for that its ridiculous.

I am in favor of 2x stain the mind. You can convoke it with creatures if u happen not to be able to pay for it in a conventional way and it goes with the theme of the deck. I dislike fracturing gust. The times i tried it it always came late and when it came i couldnt afford it and i can not chord for it. I prefer 1 main reclamation sage to destroy certain detailed artifacts when i need to. I think melira is a waste of a slot in sideboard atm. Infect is not being played that much anyway and i think spellskite can do wonders and help against other matches as well instead of her. Elvish champion could work and it's a winner if u are playing against green but i dunno, i am not seeing much green in the meta to justify it. Phyrexian revokerworks well...though the other day i used one againt ugin (dragon) and they casted thran and destroyed it...but it also serves us well for other decks. I am still vouching for one or two dismember in the sideboard (they are fantastic and can get you out of troubles by paying it's cost with life).

Lifecrafter's Bestiary. I want it to work but i don't think it will. Maindeck is a bait card. It doesn't offer an immediate effect or generate card advantage when resolved up until maybe next turn.

You can only draw 1 card per creature casted. I do think scry is great advantage but it deviates from the decks original plan which is dropping creatures as fast as possible and overrun the opponent.

Out of the sideboard though, it may give Elves the reach it needs vs removal heavy decks. It works against control decks, long matches, board wypes, etc.

Guys what do we have being (green-white or black) that can hurt eldrazi? it was the only game i struggled this last fnm. I know stain the mind can work, maybe adding magus of the moon?

Hi guys, Here's a list i used long ago (maybe an year or so) when i last played with elves in modern. Meta i think was different than it is now i guess but this list was the best i did and it got me far. But wanted to post this to see if u can help me make some modifications for the current meta. I was thinking on adding cards like Blooming marsh in main, Lifecrafter's Bestiary on sideboard, Westvale Abbey in main x1, selfless spirit x1 in main i dont know if to add maybe 1 more on sideboard. What are your suggestions and what can u tell me about it. Can't wait for your responses. Thanks in advance.

Iguess i could take out a Lead and put chord which accoording to you guys the meta changed and now lead is in a tough spot. Though i don't think 1x lead is a bad way to go. I don'0t think wurmcoil engine was definitive in the sideboard so i think i can make room for bestiary there at leats on a 1x. And i could take out dauntless for selfless spirit.

Yep, I tested out Lifecrafter's Bestiary some more today and it's the real deal. Resolved it against Jeskai Flash and Grixis Delver and it was a powerhouse. Although I lost against Jeskai, I had Bestiary on board for 4 turns which meant I scried 4 times and drew 2 extra cards off two dorks I drew. Unfortunately I was stuck on two lands with a hand full of 3/4 drops but the fact that I was able to see 6 additional cards for just 3 is fantastic.

We can play it on turn 2 and then reap the benefits on every subsequent turn. Scry is very good as it allows us to filter through our deck and put whatever we don't need to the bottom. Playing Elvish Visionary with this on board for 1GG to draw two card feels great. Especially since it's a "on cast" trigger which means even if they counter it, we still get to draw the card off Bestiary.

I did not know about this card up until i saw it here. Its been awhile since i last played with my elves. I was wondering what do u take out from the deck to make room for this card and does it go in main or do u use it in sideboard against control matches?

No one said you couldn't debate the card's inclusion in CoCo Elves. I apologize if it seemed that way. I was literally quoting and discussing Izzetmage's comments about Rishkar, Locket, etc. going into Combo Elves (as he stated with Beck/Call and/or Cloudstone Curio). I was just bringing up the fact that if anyone wanted to discuss Combo Elf lists, potential for Elf Combo decks, etc. that there was a forum for it...but also that we could combine them again if this was the "communities" wish now (as it was voted on in the past to separate them).

Yeah i wouldn't mind joining both back again really. Though there is a big difference between both builds i think they both have the same roots so i wouldnt mind. Plus before posting anything you could clarify which build it is and that's it. But i really dont want to have a problem discussing a card and in which thread to discuss it. Hopefully you can come around that to join them back together. You have my vote.

Curdbros yeah..i prefer much more the collected elves.. been thinking about these two cards the artifact to draw and the heroic intervention one. I was thinking about either to include the white creature that makes my permanentes indestructible until end of turn or heroic intervention. Cant seems to decide..but for chord to be able to pull it off maybe the white creature is better right?
