@OneShotGame I try to dodge UW control because that's an awful matchup and anything else you can tempo anyway. I don't think Pia and Kiran belong in delver because it makes you go long and your game plan is worse as the game goes on.

I definitely think there's argument on both sides for Sin Prodder.

You play it turn 3 and you usually never need more than 3 lands so not getting them off of his triggers is fine plus extra damage from cards you put into the graveyard off his trigger is great.

The downside would be that you end up milling through lightning bolts and electrolyzes. 3 Damage for electrolyze is fine but you'd just play a spell that did that normally if you really wanted that effect. Bolts dealing 1 damage instead sort of sucks but then again it's all extra anyway.

He's a devil so his ability does feel a lot like vexing devil but the difference is it's attached to the creature and not the whole card.

You'll always get the worst of the scenario. Personally, I'm skeptical about the card because you're turning all of your cards into vexing devils essentially which sounds awful. The difference is they're free cards.

Not positive this belongs in delver but possibly Jund? Idk.

In any build of delver I've recently played, I stay away from 4cmc cards. There's way too many games were I'm on two to three mana. The result of all that is I won't play Pia and Kiran or Sower of Temptation anymore.

I did not go to SCG Indianapolis this weekend but opted for a closer tournament and made top 8 at a 2k.

My decklist is in the link. We didn't play out top 8 but just split and called it a day. Even though it was a 2k, only 30 people showed up.

    I went 4-1 placing 2nd.

    0-2 UW Control
I was hoping to dodge this matchup.

    2-0 UBw Mill
His white was for paths and sideboard cards.

    2-1 Affinity
He flooded game one and was stuck on just Eye of Ugin game 2 for far too long.

    2-0 WUB

    2-0 RG Tron

I geared my deck to beat infect, affinity, and eldrazi.

I was hoping to dodge UW Control mostly since that match up is already really bad.

I've changed my decklist again for my LGS to accommodate for lack of eldrazi and more green decks.

Yeah, absolutely we should compare lists and thoughts on cards. My match up against coco decks so far has been fine. I side in dispels for the cocos and chords. Hibernation would be good but so far I can tempo and disrupt the combo enough as it is. Blood moon is a great card for that match up as well.

I also agree that flame slash is good enough that it could find its place in my 75. Possibly a 2 of but 4 vapor snag seemed like too much after GP Detroit for me. It would be better if I saw more infect or aggressive pump decks.

I'd like to think blood moons main are pretty much a necessity in the current meta. I rarely side them out because they're so good. I'm not playing the prowess version of delver though. I have a newer list of delver I might try at SCG Open Indianapolis this weekend. They have a modern classic that I want to attend there.

Here's the decklist I'm thinking of playing.

I want to mention that the first time I played UR Delver with my original list, I went 3-1 at my LGS.

    Round 1 Infect: won
Round 2 (naya zoo variant): Lost
    Round 3 Affinity: Won
    Round 4 Living End: Won

    LGS Report from last night

    Record 2-2

I definitely think if variance did not totally screw me round one I could've gone 3-1.

    Round 1: UWR Control/Superfriends
    0-2
Lost game one because I flooded and drew 14 of 19 lands
Lost game two because I had to mulligan to 4.

    Round 2: Melira Combo
    2-0
Blood moon was real good both games and I tempo'd extremely well both games

    Round 3: UW Tron
    2-0
His timely reinforcements were good but blood moons were brutal in this match up as well as counter magic wouldn't let him do any gifts shenanigans.

    Round 4: Junk
    1-2
Game one I won through bolt snapcaster bolt stuff.
Game two and three were just rhino rhino rhino. As GBx has kind of died down as a result of the eldrazi invasion, I did not prepare for this match up. I may include a couple flashfreeze in my sideboard now and move a roast or two to the main.

I've tweeked the deck some more and will post the list I used for this event and later the tweeked version once I feel comfortable with the changes. Out of all these matches the biggest take away is removing the 19th land and removing the second mountain. Too many games has it come up to screw me. I'm also thinking of putting in a 9th fetch over an island.

Here's my tournament report from GP Detroit. I will get back with the decklist later.

    Day 1:

    2-0 Little Kid Junk
Wrecked him both games. He was newer to modern so it wasn't a surprise once he told me.

    2-1 GW Elves
I won game 1 with blood moon main.
Game 2 I had landed blood moon but he had answers and I flooded.
He got me down to 1 life game 3, punted, and then I crawled back for the win, it was epic.

1-2 GR Pump (Really weird and never seen this before)
Weird deck because I didn't realize what he was on game 1, assuming burn, and waited for him to do something turn 2. He blew me out with a bruteforce when I went to bolt his creature.
    Won game 2
Game 3 I get stuck on 2 lands for too long to push out threats and stablize.

    2-1 UW Eldrazi
Won game 1 with maindeck blood moon
He takes game 2 with disenchanting my blood moon after I play it turn 3
Game 3 he lands double thought-knot seer. I top deck roast on the perfect turn flipping my delver and killing the second thought-knot seer. After that it was all tempo and I won.

    0-2 Affinity
Really Close game 1 but game 2 I was stuck on 1 Island

    0-2 RG Eldrazi
Matchup felt horrible and probably not worth dedicating sideboard to because it so bad.

    2-1 RG Tron
She stopped caring game 3 and just gave me the win. By not caring I mean she kept a bad hand for fun that was it.

    2-0 Affinity
Close games got me down to 1 life game one.

    2-1 Naya Zoo
He kept a hand game 1 to beat eldrazi and I punished him for it as I was not on that deck.

    Day 2:

    2-1 UR Merfolk
His red was maindeck blood moons.
Game 3, accidentally tried to roast a Kira and take it with a sower of temptation which would have been amazing, couldn't grim lavamancer it because I only had 1 card in the yard but he knew as soon as he played another threat that i was going to roast it, ping kira with grim lavamancer then Sower of temptation the kira for total control of the game, he then proceeded to scoop after being so far behind.

    0-2 UW Control
Not sure this match up was winnable with my build and against supreme verdicts.
    I also flooded both games.

    1-2 Affinity
Really close games except for the first were he blew me out, I was stuck on UU for several turns game 3 and drew the mountain way too late with a hand full of red

    Dropped

Apparently you have to end 15 rounds at x-3 to prize because the turnout was under 3000. People were complaining about prize support sucking as well as not paying out very far considering so many people made it to day 2. The whole tournament was ran poorly. 30 mins extra every single round after turns were called. I guess there was problems with side events as well. Reddit has a post or two on how bad Professional Event Services(PES) was at the GP as well as in general.

I played UR Delver at GP Detroit and went 7-5 before dropping. The deck definitely has legs and I could tell what cards I needed to swap. It was only my second time playing the deck and hardly a good list that I had built. I'll post my match results/tournament report as well as decklist and revised decklist later. I'm testing the new deck list tonight at my LGS so I can do a mock up report of that event as well.
