    I'm new to EDH...

If Ghost Council of Orzhova is my General, can i play Kitchen Finks in my deck???

The current ruling on hybrids that do not share both colors with your general is no, but it is something that is often brought up and considered. It should be updated here if the ruling is revised.

I also have a question. Can one player take control of another's general. Or does the card fizzle.
Official rules say that you can and even that you can kill the player with 21 damage from his or her general. There are a lot of groups that make the spell fizzle because they think the game should be more focused on the general, but I wouldn't say that a majority of groups play this way.

Can you really throw down stuff at the end of turn with Incandescent Soulstoke? I was under the impression that those kind of tricks didn't work anymore thanks to white lightning.

As with almost all controversies concerning matters of marriage, I think the fundamental question should be "just what is marriage?" What is it's purpose? What should it encompass and what should it not encompass?

From there, I pose two questions about polygamy:
    1) If (legal) marriage fulfills a purpose, what is the purpose of legal marriages between more than two partners? Is there a need for such marriages to be official?
    2) Is there any problem with polygamy? What are some reasons why it shouldn't be legal? Does it interfere with monogamous marriages or detract from their purpose?

Good points. Is marriage just a legal contract to define property ownership and what should happen to co-owned property should the marriage end? Is marriage a symbol of commitment and unity because people can't grasp the concept of those two ideas alone?

Why do we marry? Tradition? Suspicion of the other person? (or people in this topic)

You may not be interested in what someone's sexuality is, but they should feel free to talk about it without it being a taboo.

Sadly, we're far from this being acceptable. And you might as well ostracize yourself rather than tell people you're a pedophile. I find it interesting that as society has become more open toward same-sex relationships, it has become more hostile toward different-generation relationships.

No, but it's just so difficult to organize orgies on a regular basis these days Rolleyes
It's practically criminal to walk up to a group of people and ask "Hi, want to go have an orgy?"

    True story.

Sodomy isn't just anal, it's defined as being any "Noncoital carnal copulation" so you should probably extend that sentence to encompass all forms of sex with the exception of coitus.

I never said it was just anal. Although looking back on my reply, it does seem implied.

Intravenous heroin users might ask the same question about their act of choice. A serial killer might ask the same question about his acts. Just because something feels good doesn't mean it is good.

I think that state should help normal couple (M+F), because they are the most
So the US government should help white people because they're the majority too? Does the same go for Christians in the US?

    1) I personally prefer a polygamous relationship. The problem is very few people are mature and self confident enough not to be jealous of a third or fourth partner. I believe it should be legal. Our current definition of marriage is based on the definition given by a particular religion. Making them illegal actually takes the theological rights away from those who practice it as part of their faith.

I agree with all of this, although I don't prefer a polygamous relationship. You also mentioned what seems to be the root of the problem here - religion. Going deeper, it is humanity's inability to distinguish between "right" and "wrong" on an individual basis and needing to be told what to do and what not to do and why or why not.

    2) These are not related. The only possible connection is that a Bisexual couple would be most likely to want to include a third member.

They're both human rights issues involving marriage.

    3) I support both. People should be able to make their own choices, and have the same rights regardless of faith, sexual identity, gender identity, or philosophical view on love.

    Again I agree.

I do not support the "harem" model of a polygamous relationship because it objectifies women. It is this model which creates the most stigma for the issue. But I do support the freedom of faith that should allow people to enter into such a union.

And I think a big polygamous circle would be awesome. Orgies whenever you want, and if a certain partner is getting on your nerves, you can always get some distance.

You don't need to be married to have sex. You can have an orgy whether you're married or not. Marriage does not equal sex.

    Quote from Jolon
I oppose gay marriage and support polygamy, and 'reconcile' this with the knowledge that sodomy is immoral while marriage between a man and two women is not.
Sodomy exists outside of gay marriage. Gay couples will still have sex whether or not they are married. My opinion on sodomy being immoral is "how can it be wrong when it feels so right?"

I think it should be legalized, but regulated. IMHO the consequences are nowhere near as serious as those of alcohol, tobacco or fast food consumed just as often. It being illegal also makes it more fun.

I disagree with the statement that mtg under the influence isn't fun, it is as long as everyone is equally messed up. Just don't get upset when you make really bad plays.

Yeah, we can get the description of the transactions. It was a $5 charge at a computer shop in Canada and couple charges for a WOW account.

I've found the order form from black and blue and I used a different credit card for that order than the number that was stolen. IE blackandbluemagic.com is innocent (although the cards were really smokey).

The only 'mistake' in my order was that the Asmira, Holy Avenger was italian but listed as english. I like it more that way. Asmira, Vindicatrice Sacra pwns all!

I've recently had my credit card number stolen and used for several online gaming purchases. I've only ever used starcitygames.com (which I've never heard of anyone having problems with) and blackandbluemagic.com. My order was spot on, despite being near $90 in singles (setting up for some awesome reject rare drafts). Anyone had any problems with blackandbluemagic?
