Guess where the "lands matter" mechanisms come from. The storyline. And there is precedent for things existing purely for flavor enhancement. *Insert link to every vanilla creature ever here*
My logic may come at it from a different angle than yours, but it operates on the same basis: Zendikar was special. Don't be a douche.
Exactly what I was thinking. It almost has me tempted to put in Emeria Angel given the consistent land drops that it would allow, but at the same time I'm trying to keep land as unimportant as possible to allow room for more options.

You and target opponent each choose a nonland permanent the other controls.
Choose one - Exchange control of the chosen permanents or destroy them. Isn't the agony marvelous?
Guys. Did anyone stop to think that the reason full art lands only exist in Zendikar sets is because Zendikar has the most potent mana in the known multiverse? I mean the stuff's practically alive! Double-check your storyline.
Primary Goal: Use efficient, powerful effects to piss off the opponent before locking them out with Iso+Orim's Chant and/or bashing their head in with Iona and Co.
Secondary Goal: Pull any and all B.S. that people don't expect white to be capable of.
Please let me know of any suggestions you have regarding what to add, what you would replace, etc.
When I'm planning out a deck and as I play a deck, it seems to me that the deck has a personality. My Esper control is a tactician planning ahead and sniping threats from 500 yards. The last iteration of my Izzet storm didn't give a <f*ck> - it just wanted to see the look on your face when it finally blew up. When I make a mono blue, its the rule-master swinging its banhammer. The last izzet deck I made was a little kid sticking its tongue out at you and taunting "You can't catch me!".
Anyone else get this kind of feeling about their deck(s)?
This is one I'm very proud of. Original idea is mine, had help from a friend in terms of balancing. As you can hopefully see, its kind of win-more but also has the potential to really screw up the game for either player. The flavor is all about the risks and potential rewards of time travel. Want more info on the flavor? Ask. I don't mind sharing.
Mind_Mage_Seth: This is a fine effect, though I'm not sure double red & double white are necessary. Instant speed, first strike, and lifelink combine to make a super swingy effect that I'd be cautious to put in a set purely for "feel-bad in limited" reasons. I mean instantly killing your opponent is one thing, but this card can mount ridiculous comebacks that are near impossible to play around.
That would be the reason for the double color costs. Makes the card more difficult to play, thus acting as somewhat of a balancing agent.

I know it doesn't do much to help the Iona situation, but it does put more pressure on the opponent and also adds more exclusion effects to the deck.
