The URL posted by Teppic has TOK in it, and this is his reasoning that they are Token pics. The URLs for the pics that I posted also have TOK in them. None of these URLs have anything in the address or file name to let us know what the card or set they come from is. I was hoping that Teppic could explain to us why he thought these were Morningtide tokens.
Well, it's an educated guess (like I made with the images for the player rewards cards)! Currently, the files in MTGO 3 with TOK in their name are token images from RAV block, 10E, CSP, TSP block, and LRW (and the textless FUT cards). Their ID numbers are ordered by the release order of these sets. Those four unknown images are the highest four IDs and the Giant and Faerie image suggest they are from Morningtide. Token art for any earlier set (including Weatherlight) are not yet included in MTGO 3. Other than these four I can name the tokens for all the other files with TOK in their name.
It's really just my opinion... but half the fun of rumour season is speculation and discussion, right?
we're certain that art is for a textless MTG promo?
No, we're only certain that they are official WotC art since they were shipped as art files along with the Lorwyn Magic Online update, that they are taller than the standard art files so maybe for some kind of extended art cards, and that there were just three of them: incinerate, damnation, and the blue one.
I think this might be the art for one of the new player rewards cards. Apparently it was in the same Magic Online update as the probable Damnation art in the first post. A blue spell probably... any ideas what it might be?
BTW, extended Incinerate art was there as the third strange, extra art file!
So, speaking of the Next Textless promo. You guys have any guesses as to what they will be and if the Foil one isn't a damnation, what do you think or want it to be? Mind you it has to be a sorcery or instant.
My guess for 2 uncommon textless cards... Incinerate with uncropped 10E art + A blue spell, maybe showing a bottle, with lightning inside, floating in the water under a jetty. No idea what it could be.
A friend sent me the image below and I was struck by it's similarity to the textless foil Wrath of God artwork (below right). It looks like it is done by Ron Spencer and given it is a fair bit darker than the Wrath image but very similar composition my immediate reaction was "Wow, that is probably a textless Damnation!" I'm not sure exactly where the image came from... I think it was included in a Magic Online update or was on the wizards site somewhere, I'll try and find out when I next talk to the person that sent it to me.
Anyway, I was wondering what promo they could do to top a textless foil Wrath of God, if it is indeed a Damnation with this art it will be very cool!

The second art piece is the Time Spiral sheep token.
That is the "Serf" token art from Time Spiral.

You can get the source through SVN. ;-)
They are on Wizards' site with the MTGO 3 card artwork. They are named as token images and have the correct dimensions to be tokens:

etc.
I think we all agree that this is a Giant:
Tricky, but the foliage gives it away as a Treefolk:
Of this one, I'm not so sure... Planeswalker token anyone?
