Contagion engine comes to mind as a colorless proliferator that does so over and over. Contagion clasp as well. The other 2 proliferators that are colorless are core prowler and throne of geth as plaguemaw beast has been mentioned already.

Oh cool! I'll check those out! Thank you!

Thank you! I'm putting together a WG commander deck and I need something to help me abuse Afiya Grove. Myth Realized works in the deck; but, doesn't place counters on Afiya Grove. Plaguemaw Beast is what I'm looking for though! And there are colorless which perform similarly?

Is there a green or white card in any block which will put counters ONTO an enchantment?

Hey, how did this deck play for you? I have a mono black zombie deck that I've been putting together and I recognize some of my picks on your deck list as well as others I hadn't considered. So, regrets? Changes? Triumphs?

So, last night I was the shield in Emperor and had to pick up offense when our sword got called out of the game. Playing mono green Elves, I had a huge and wonderful army amassed on the field and was feeling over confident when I swung 48 on the opponent’s shield (who was also sword ‘cuz we had taken out their offense already) with 12 counters on Wild Beastmaster and 16 counters on Siege Behemoth (plus the 12 extra +1/+1 thanks to Beastmaster’s ability. I was poised to take out the sword in one fell swoop… when my opponent flipped out Deflecting Palm! Oooooooooh the agony! Hoisted on my own petard!

Anyway, wondering if there is a green answer to Deflecting Palm? Just started playing Commander around Christmas and still working on my deck.

I would suggest removing some of the cards you don't like and adding some removal and tutors - Beast Within, Chord of Calling, Green Sun's Zenith should all be in for instance.

They don't really work that well with the elves though, do they?

First, choose your Commander. If you want to play tribal elves, play Ezuri. If you want to play all-in land sacrifice effects, play Titania. If you want to play token-based combo or just mono-green goodstuff, play Freyalise.

Yeah, I played Ezuri and he didn't click for me. Have been playing Freyalise as Commander and feel comfortable with her, so unless Nissa gets the boost to commander, I think I'll stick with her. Played Nylea as commander for a couple of games; but, she didn't mesh right.

One small thing you can do is to put in a Liquimetal Coating and/or Mycosynth Lattice, so Freyalise can destroy any permanent.

Oh fun! Yeah, this would make things interesting...

I took it heavy elves, with nods to Archers and Druids with Greatbow Doyen and Gilt-Leaf Archdruid heading armies of Elvish archers and druids. X-spells are the backup plan.

Sadly, I've yet to play it, to see if my schemes work beyond planning.

    Cheers!

Yeah, I especially like Gilt-Leaf Archdruid. Have you thought about making your Commander Nylea, God of the Hunt?

Personally, I went with Elf tribal with Freyalise, which can go off pretty quickly if my draws work out. One of my friends went with Titania, and took as many of the efficient sacrifice lands as possible, and that works really well as well. Since you are liking elves, check out the elves typically in a Legacy elves list, and also work on getting as much mana as possible for fatties as finishers. More overrun effects would do wonders as well, especially with all the mana you'll be able to produce.

Yes, I'm loving the mana! Tonight after a particularly profitable turn, an opponent said, "Dang! All that and you still have 7 left untapped?" My friend with a Zombie deck hates this one and that is before tweaking.

I received the Green Commander Deck for Christmas and am loving my elves! I JUST started playing Commander and have only played Magic since this summer, so I'm very much a noob, still. My regular decks are either mono black, black & white, or Abzan so this deck functions quite differently from what I've done before. There are a few cards that I'm not too keen on and would like to replace; Wave of Vitriol & Harrow come to mind. Have any of y'all got any suggestions for tweaks or strategies?

You have the basic gist of it down.

Here's the full onslaught of it, which has a little more than what you described:

...The attacking player chooses the order that the blocking creatures are damaged. He can't choose to randomly divide the damage: damage is dealt to each creature in the order he chose, getting enough damage to kill the blocking creature, until all of the attacking creature's power is "used up". Creatures that weren't blocked deal damage to the player/planeswalker they were attacking. Trample also applies. All damage is dealt simultaneously. Note, this doesn't lower the creature's toughness, the creature just has damage "on" it. It dies when it has more damage on it than it has toughness. Creatures die, and then we get to spells/abilities again.

Wow! Thank you! That certainly makes things much clearer. So, if I'm understanding this correctly, Mer-Ek Nightblade buffed up to a 14/15, can kill 2 7/7s?

Salt Road Patrol , if it were buffed up to a 14/19 could kill two 7/7's.

Mer-Ek Nightblade with any counters on it could actually kill 2 7/7's (even though it wouldn't survive itself), since for Deathtouch you only need to apply 1 damage to both creatures to be considered "lethal".

    Oops! Good point!
