Seems like WOTC played it extremely safe with the casting cost of these rare split cards.... Possibly because they played well in the future future league. I get card advantage with two cards in one, but do you even want both cards???
From first glance, no I don't want them in my 75.... I don't want to even open them in my packs.... For the most part they seem awful.
He is meh, so far unless I'm just plain oblivious to the red and blue gods playability they suck.... Will not see play unless they are in an EDH deck... Pretty disapointing because Mono Blue Devotion was one of my favorite STD decks of all time.... Third to Weeniegeddon and Elfclamp...
The price will drop substantially although not for long.... And then possibly rebound to become more expensive than it was. Seems to happen to every expensivecard
I'm not assuming anything, but I still think WOTC is going to throw a plot twist because this is supposed to be a mystery.... My guess is Emrakul is the plot twist, she isn't there.
Emrakul or not, Where is Thalia.... I only know a little bit of the main lore from the first block.... I read on one of the flavor text that she started a Saint Traft group?
You think she might get blessed by my man St Trizzy?
Probably will be a 2 of catch all answer to any non land permanent.... OThe 3 life is negligible when your killing the card that will be giving you the most trouble....
It's a good card, especially in std. Exiling the card will probably be a big plus especially if any kind of graveyard antics pop up, which seems likely.... Good card, I don't think that can be argued....
Hmmmmmmm, I don't pretend to be the best card evaluater alive but she seems to be deceptively strong???? Having a +2 does help a lot giving her 6 loyalty to survive the turn she comes down.... But will the +2 be good? Guess that's entirely up to how good the madness cards are in this set and if Madness returns in E. Moon....? Her -2 is also weird tapped creatures/artifacts? Situational, but I guess it works if you play her after an attack? But the artifact will probably hit less frequently, especially if she sees play, then everyone will activate artifacts abilities at the end of turn... Now to her ultimate, the creature will need hex proof or indestructable.... Or your risk it being killed....
She seems to be tailored for specific cards, now I'm interested in the madness cards and whatever bomb creature they spoil..... Is she good??? Idk, seems like she is only as good as what you have in the deck that supports it....
I'd stake my reputation in it. Tamiyo will show up in the story but not get a card the same way Jace and Ugin did last block. If Tibalt shows up, which I find unlikely, it will be in a single UR and not in a card. Get over it ladies.
I feel that Tams is more likely to get in than Nahiri. Sure, Jace and Ugin were in the story but not in cards, but they also both had cards around a year ago. It's been a little more than a year since we last got a Nahiri card, and it's been FOUR since we got a Tamiyo card.
This thread is proof positive that people will debate anything if not given enough interesting spoilers at the beginning of spoiler season.
Spoiler season hasn't started.
Honestly, Sorin should of the face of this set.... It's his plane, unless the story has a wide plot twist that involves Sorin I think it will be a huge oversight in WOTC's storytelling. Sorin could of been the guy investigating what is going on???? Or Tamiyo could of been of the investigating figure, if Nahiri isn't represented by a card I will be surprised.... but whatever the case if the cards are cool and fun to play I honestly don't care too much of the storyline......
While the Phyrexians seemed to far out for me in this storyline, your line of evidence is compelling. It would almost be too much coincidence to not be true.
Question in point however, is how Phyrexian Oil came to Innistrad? The only possibilities I see is either Sorin or Tamiyo accidentally picked it up somewhere, or Bolas planted it on the moon intentionally. Neither of this seems very realistic at this point. (Though a compleated Nahiri making Living Weapons would be awesome..)
Having said all that, Innistrad, being the plane of horrors, could use some new horrors now that the Vampires and Werewolves are severely thinned out by Avacyn. Phyrexians could fit that role.
Personally I'd prefer something other than the Phyrexians though. They are awesome enough to carry a new block all on their own.
After reading his evidence all the madness could somehow be related to Phyrexians.... We know Nahiri left looking for Sorin.... She could of come into contact with them or maybe Koth? But that is baseless spec....
But to the Naysayers the "Great Work" being used in the story and the use of similar statements in other cards is a link and could be true....

Get them when the price drops they will both recover in a year or two.

Rare "Human" mana dork...... 2cc mana dork that can tap for B or G :/ ?
I would of made him tap for any color after delirium was activated....

Bye Bye Avacyn...
The cards so far look fun as hell!

I like the lore but it is second to the cards....
