To be honest, I've found the girls I have known in my life generally more perverse than most of the boys.

Hey Hodoku, you look soooo sweet in Drag. I have never seen anyone go through that much effort on a Gimmick. Kudos. Can I have your number?

Don't worry so much guys. Some people have nothing better to do than dig in other people's lives.

Since you've decided to troll back, you too can have a troll infraction.
Unfortunate for you that you slipped this in before the lock.

Some interesting suggestions... Never really thought of Wonder, but... is it really needed with all my unblockable enchantments / equipments?

I will try to find some unstable mutations and psionic blasts (post rotation, they'll go for pennies Smile ), that's a great idea.

I can feel the power in this deck, and so did this guy on MWS after getting his whole board returned to his hand:

    <Kevbo> gg
    <Mockingbird> gg
    <Mockingbird> cephalid constable :p
<Kevbo> this is hardly a casual deck
    <Kevbo> ass
    <System> Player Lost

I mean instead of all the unblockable crap. Wasted slots and easier to remove. Wonder is more stable.

  • posted a message on Smallville: The Official Discussion Thread
With Smallville restarting on the 18th, seems a good time to ressurect this discussion.

I have been reading some of the information on this season in anticipation and worry. The loss of Rosenbaum was/is a huge hit. He was easily the strongest character and actor on the show.

Good news is that he is not completely gone, wording of interviews seems to indicate that he will appear in a few scenes.

His "succesor" is a woman Modelled off of Mercy Graves. Her plot involves trying to find Lex and eventually enlisting Clark's help. It is hinted she will develop romantic feelings for Clark.

    They are also drawing more off of the comics this season ;

An early episode has Maxima come to Earth looking for a mate and selecting Clark

The Legion of Super Heroes will make an appearance to fix something in the past/our time

    Other villains mentioned
Darkseid (in discussion), Plastique (episode already filmed)

We will be introduced to a kind and gentle Paramedic who over the course of the season will discover things about his past and by the end of the season will be Doomsday. Plans are to actually keep the character physically representitive of the comic version

    Other character info :

Clark will start seeing how he needs to develop a double life. Will work at the Planet. Cloe develops a new power and takes over Isis. Cloe also gets in a love Triangle with Clark, Jimmy and a new character. Green Arrow will feature a great deal with alot of plot around his past.

My only concern ; in all the information I have read, I have not seen Lois mentioned. With Cloe gone it is finally the perfect time to get this dynamic flowing properly.
Why focus on the Cloe/Clark romance?

But alas, it is also clear there is alot ahead that we have not been full spoiled yet. They have been rather free with this imformation so far, I doubt they would spoil everything good

    Oh, one more thing;
They hint that Clark flies Kekeke

    edit
The same interview (a recent one) mentioning Darkseid also says no Rosenbaum at all this season

Lana will be back for 5 episodes. Supergirl will be back for one episode to tie up her storyline, this is likely the epsiode with Darkseid according to Smallville Wiki. The Legion of Superheroes will also have a well known Legion villain with them

Imma go ahead and say no. 14-17 is just a massive disparity in maturity regardless of how you cut it, not taking into consideration one of the two being socially retarded (and then they really shouldn't be dating, eh?)

Now ask me if a 21 year old and an 18 year old could date? No Problemo!

If one can be socially retarded, it is likely one could be socially advanced.

It is known that women mature faster than men. As adults its not so big of a jump, but as teenagers the typical boy is about two years behind in development. That alone shows why a 17 year old boy and a 14 year old girl are likely to find a common ground.

I just think that it is most healthy to date some one as close to your age as possible. That whay you can be more of the same peer group.

How would you relate this to a 13 year old in grade 10, schooling by correspondace at home who works full time? She could not relate to anyone her own age, never could. That was why she asked to do her schooling at home, and on her own was finishing it alot faster. All of her friends were 17-25. In many ways she was more mature than most of the 30 year olds I know now, and the reason it never worked out is because at 17 she just was way to ahead of me.

Ill re-edit your post so it is more accurate

If I had a daughter, I wouldn't let her date period, much less at the age of 14! And Sakura, that lady let her daughter in a lesbian relationship at such a young age?

I was living as a boy at the time, though I doubt she would have stopped her daughter from dating girls. Her mother knew she liked both and never had an issue with it.

If it is bad, who cares

If it is good, it draws more people into the already existing fandom once they realize the amazing cult following of the original.

No bad can come of this really. It won't detract from the original and could actually boost its popularity. It would also be cool to have contempary versions of the RHPS classics on the radio.

I am a huge fan of the original and am actually happy to see this coming.

That's a dangerous game for you to have played. People's attitudes (parents included) can change in a heartbeat. If her mother had found out something about you that she didn't like, you could've been in a lot of trouble.

She trusted me enough that she had me move in with them. She saw her daughter as an adult and really she was. It was one of the few relationships where my partner had the majority of the control. It was like being 18 and dating a 25 year old who has finished college.

She is probably the only person I have dated with a higher IQ than my own. That was attraction. (for those wondering what a 17 year old may see in a 14 year old.)

...yeah, it would depend on the boy.

It would depend on the boy regardless of age difference. Age has nothing to do with it.

By the way, police wouldn't do anything about a 14 year old and 17 year old dating regardless of laws unless someone complained. I have been in this situation when I was 18, my gf at the time was 13. Her mother had no issues with it. (age of consent in Canada at the time was 14) Her daughter was in grade 10, self schooling at home on correspondence, and worked full time. On more than a few occaisions law enforcement became aware we were a couple and said and did nothing. When her mother is right next to us and obviously aware and fine, it isn't their concern anymore.

Maturity is more than a number.

Age of consent laws are there to protect, and sometimes there are good reasons for 14 year olds and 17 year olds to be a couple. Some people do not need protecting.

Reacting "zomg its illegal for you to be with your BF" is ridiculously useless and does more harm. Age of consent covers sex anyways, not relationships. Big difference.

Yes, I see no reason not to treat him like any other boy who would date my daughter. There is only three years difference. He is still in school as well (or at least school age) By the time he is out of highschool she will be 16 and that is age of consent. Since acceptable that if one person is older, if by the time the older one is done highschool the younger one is of age of consent then there is no real issue with the age difference.

Rather than make a big deal to seperate them I would just make sure (as any responsible parent should) that she was educated and aware of the "birdsnbees".

An intresting variation to promote casual play is to have each game play out as if a Trinisphere is in play.

"Casual" is really hard to enforce, even if nobody in your area owns Power don't be surprised if someone shows up with this.

This isn't even too far fetched for someone to build, and if anyone owns power at all would be disturbing. That is just off the top of my head and worse decks could be built just as easilly.

These "casual" tournaments always seem good on paper, but very quickly people learn why there is a BR list in the first place.

I concur that a more "casual" minded prize setup would be the best idea. To keep the fun in a tournament, you need fun prizes that spikish players could care less about.

That is worth a concideration, except when I am Wishing for Opportunity I am either digging or have gone off and need card draw. In the first situation skipping a turn may actually be a bad idea, in the second it doesn't matter how much my draw spell costs at all. It may be worth finding a spot for it somewhere in my side, but not over Opportunity or Gush. Maybe over Remand (it was filler anyways). The only times I would want it is if I had Halls in hand and wanted to beef my hand to go off but only had enough to play Halls and maybe a Mana Drain. I have had a few hands where that was the case and can see it for sure.
