I have a soft spot for Fallen Empires because it was the most recent set in print when started playing. I recently made a deck where I tried to use as many Fallen Empires cards as possible.

Love what you did with the fungus and spore counter.

Yeah, Nintendo needs to stop this. A lot of compenies aren't doing this and most of the are region-free. But hay it's Nintendo, the company that refuses to change and was starting love hotels. No I'm serious look it up it's true. And compenies like to screw the costumers(Ahm EA aha).

I think it will be a good game and I will buy it. It's a mindless violent game and I don't care about those types of games(I played Madworld and loved it). It's like GTA, sure GTA has somekind of story but I don't care about it when I play GTA. Sure it's violance for the sake of violance but I know planty of games that are similer to Hatered that I like. So I think Hatred is a good game and that pepole are angry about that because it's a mindless violance(again, there are planty of games like that).

I loved drafting Avacyn Restored. For a Bant player, this set was awesome! I somehow always ended up drafting fun and powerful decks like WR Humans, WU Blink, GU Soulbound, and even a WU flyers deck where more than half of my creatures were angels, that was a sweet one!

I will also always remember the game that I won despite having been attacked for multiple turns by a 10/10 double striking Sigarda.

I love Avacyn Restored as well. Souldbond is a fun mechanic to play and the angels are very good(I have Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight in my Kaalia deck).

Theros I know the cards suck but I love the gods so I feel I need to collect all the gods

I don't like Theros, but I will give Theros that they have one of the best creatures in standard(Prophet of Kruphix, the gods(exept Pharika and Ephara), Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Courser of Kruphix and more).

Innistrad ... the entire block. I realized it was popular and that many cards became eternal staples, but for me, I'd have loved it even if one forgets the Snapcasters, Geists, and Griselbrands. I love Ludevic's Test Subject as much as Delver Of Secrets - it's the flavor that makes it my favorite block. I love the gothic nature of the setting, the whole aesthetic and theme of Innistrad.

Innistrad wasen't that bad. Aside from Dark Ascension the entire set was preety good for me.

    Gatecrash. It was aggro heaven.

I like Gatecrash, almost all the guilds were fun to play.

A deck which focuses around winning fast. I bulit two decks around it. One is a legacy Kaalia of the Vast deck (yes it's possible) and the second one is a Mardu aggro.

    My analyzing for the commanders:

Nahiri, the Lithomancer: My favorite planeswalker, if you turned Stoneforge Mystic into a planeswalker, this is it. The +2 ability is very good. The -2 ability is a stoneforge mystic only you can use it without flickering. The -10, my god, it's a little bit hard but once you get it, you win the game. That's it, it's game over for the other players.
Jazal Goldmane:I can see it with aggro creatures but not much more. It's simplistic at best.
Teferi, Temporal Archmage:The seconnd ability is good but other then that the ultimate is overpriced and the first ability isn't that great. Overall? Meh.
Stitcher Geralf: Love this card, I can see this into a The Mimeoplasm stradegy, it has all the pices into this stradegy, and also the zombies he create can be very powerful.
Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath: Great card. The first ability in multiplayer can be very helpful. the second ability is very good and great if you combine it with the lifegain ability. The ultimate ability is if you turned Sphinx's Revelation into a black card. And I like me some Sphinx's Revelation!
Ghoulcaller Gisa: Okay card, can work in a sacrifice theme decks and zombies deck and also morbid decks but that's it.
Daretti, Scrap Savant: I don't know how to rate this card: I don't like the first ability and the last because it's overpriced, but the second is a blanced red version of Tinker. And this card is banned so... I don't know. His deck should be about returning artifacts from the graveyard to support him. Overall? Meh? Good? Bad? I don't know.
Feldon of the Third Path: If you restrict Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker this is the card. It's good but I think giving him haste will make him better. But nevertheless a very good card.
Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury: This thing can be scary if not stopped, the first ability lets you place elves all the time. The second is Naturalize on a stick and the third, my god. With all the green creatures and the elves you get from her you will draw a 1/3 of your deck.
Titania, Protector of Argoth: Fetchlands, drage, Strip Mine and some other things, but other then that this card is useless.

Yeah, Ice age is one of the few sets that their cards were banned in standard, but mirodin has more cards that were banned and the idea of Ice age was really cool(both figuretivly and literally) and if done right Ice Age will be a very good set.

Both the New Phyrexia and Rise of Eldrazi are actually quite popular sets, so I wouldn't really call them "guilty pleasures".

I do, however like the entire Kamigawa block. I also enjoyed Coldsnap (snow was awesome), as well as Theros block (which many people found boring and/or lacking). In some extent I agree with that; the Greek mythology is nothing new in Magic, the block didn't feel like an enchantment block and the majority of mechanics felt lame. But I'm a casual player so I still enjoyed it. Smile

Yeah, Theros wasn't good but it was a nice attempt to create an enchantment block.

Have you ever had that one set you know it's bad but you like it so much? You know it's a bad set but you like it from various reasons. I have five sets I know that aren't good but I love them, and here are the sets:

The Kamigawa block: Yes, one of the most Infamous blocks in the MTG history. The Kamigawa block faild because of it's mechanics and too much legendaries. However I love the block's artwork and flavor, also some of the cards are actually very good and are still played today(ahm Umezawa's Jitte ahm).

New Phyrexia: Oh New Phyrexia. It may be the most disgusting set in Magic and half of the MTG fans hate it because it wasn't Mirrodin Pure. But I still love this set for quite number of reasons:
    1. The set is about the winning of the Phyrexians and I was on the side of the Phyrexians, the trailers helped a lot as well(siriously, check them out, they are awesome) But nevertheless a set theat focus about the winning of the Phyrexians is a major happy to all Phyrexians fans, not the Mirran side of course.
    2. The set have some of my favorite creatures and spells: The Praetdors, Karn Liberated, Dismember, Despise(yes I said it!), Phyrexian Obliterator, Batterskull, Spellskite and Sword of War and Peace.

And the last gulity pleasure set is....:

Rise of the Eldrazi: Okay, this is actually one of my favorite sets of all time. Yes, I know it doesn't connect with the last sets but this is my favorite set for one reason: The Eldrazies. The Eldrazies are my favorite creature type becuase they are colorless, meaning you don't have to pay with a certin color, their power (The weakest colorless Eldrazi is an 8/8, think about that), their ability annihilator and the three grand eldrazies, wich the strongerst of them: Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , is my favorite creature of all time. This is why I love this set so much.

So, what are your gulity pleasue sets? Feel free to share them here!

Why do you think it's a bad set? Sure it isn't Ravnica but still a very solid set.

You right, but why would I want to my flyer/intimidate creature to be blocked by a non-flying/not the same color(or artifact)creature. It's a worthless mechanic if you want to kill big creature because if I want to kill creatures that's what removal or counters for. And how does the trample creature doesn't deal demage to the player? Bending in blocking is good but in combat? I wouldn't ever want to use that. And Bending gives you the abilaty to control only if you block in bend.
Maybe because clearing away a blocker is more important than getting in the evasive damage right now? (You're not always going to have a removal spell in your hand; sometimes combat is your best removal available.)

Normally, when you block a trample creature, the attacking player assigns lethal damage to the blocker and the rest is assigned to you (note: while nobody really does it, the attacker may assign all of the damage to the blocker, the only requirement is that they assign at least lethal damage to the blocker before assigning damage to the player). If you block with a band, you can force all of the damage to go to one of the creatures (or split the damage among them), and not permit any of the damage to trample over onto you. Thus, effectively negating the trample ability.

Banding always lets you distribute the damage among the creatures in the band, whether you're on the attack or on the defense. No, you can't distribute the damage in the same way to your opponents' creatures, but that's the normal state of affairs anyway.

Also note: On the defense, you only need 1 creature with banding (all creatures blocking alongside the banding creature gain the benefit). On the attack, your band can only contain 1 creature without banding.

I'll give you that, I can see using bending when I'm blocking, I will use that, it is a good mechanic if you are blocking but I wouldn't use that in attacking since I don't want to both of my creatures to be blocked. Its seem worthless if you are using bending while attacking when I can deal more demage if I am not using bending, and what is stopping your opponent do block the bending creatures with 1/1 or 0/4? That's why I will never use bending while I'm attacking.

Why would I want to both of my creatures to be blocked when I want only one? Sure the chance that they can kill that creature is higher but still.
First, creating a band is optional; you don't have to do it if it's disadvantageous to you. (Two 1/1s vs. a 2/2 with the opponent at 1 life: don't attack in a band.)

Second, an attacking band might be completely blocked by a single opposing creature, but that band can also take down a much bigger creature than the creatures in the band could normally on your own. (Two 1/1s vs. a 2/2, you can kill the 2/2 in combat and only lose one of your 1/1s.)

Third, you can use banding defensively, to save yourself from a big nasty beater, trample, etc. without losing anything more important than a saproling. (Two 1/1s vs. a 10/10 trample, you can block, lose a 1/1, and take no damage.) Depending on the combat situation, you might be able to not lose any of your creatures, since you get to distribute the damage however you want, instead of the attacker assigning lethal to each creature in order. (Two 1/2s vs. a 2/2, you can assign 1 damage to each of the 1/2s, lose neither, and kill the 2/2.)

Banding gives you nearly complete control over combat damage assignment. And that's a big, big thing.

Yeah, but you want to see rampage or bending being printed on a card? I shoure wouldn't, and I didn't mean to say that I want to see all the mechanincs, I want to see some of them, to put all the mechanics will be crazy.
I'd love to see some new cards with banding. Banding is a strong mechanic; the problem is that most of the cards with it are weak or overcosted by today's standards.

Still, bending is a bad and needlessly complicated mechanic.
Uh... no? It's not a bad mechanic (it's quite good). It's also not that complicated, it just has a reputation for being a complicated mechanic, likely due to people explaining it poorly. Banding's biggest problem is that existing creatures with it suck.

You right, I read it and it's not complicated but I still don't like that mechanic. Why would I want to both of my creatures to be blocked when I want only one? Sure the chance that they can kill that creature is higher but still.
