I have a Goblinslide on the table and then I play Impact Tremors when I pay 1 to get a goblin token will the opponent take damage from the Impact Tremors or not?
Not sure about the events of the stack in this case.
The only problem with Rabblemaster is that he doesn't create warrior tokens where as the Mardu Strike Leader does. Alesha over Whip for the fact that for 2 less mana, you bring them back from the graveyard and they stay there where Whip exiles at end of turn.
I've been a fan of this archetype since the start of the Khans block and posted earlier in this thread. I can't stress the benefit of splashing red for Alesha, Who Smiles at Death. I find her to be invaluable for this deck when she hits the board, she can truly change the game around when you can bring more creatures back from the graveyard. My deck pre-DTK tied for first at FNM. Post DTK, there are some great options to really bring this deck to T-1.5. Here's my current list:
Coordinated Assault has been a great sideboard card, especially against Green/white devotion. Ignore the lands, fetches are horribly expensive still and my sideboard could probably use a little work as well. The only problems I've had is with a lack of card draw that can lead to top decking if the game goes longer than expected. It's a great archetype though.
I've been considering taking this in the Mardu direction. Has anyone considered the possible combo of Alesha, Who Smiles at Death and Daghatar the Adamant? Or do you feel it would be too slow in this format?
We had this issue come up at TNM last night and I was just looking for some verification.
One player was playing an illusion deck and had Dismiss into Dream out. The other player with a mono black deck had two creatures down and then played Gray Merchant of Asphodel for the win. Player one played Downpour to target all three creatures. He thought that since he targeted all three creatures that Grey's ETB ability wouldn't have gone off and he wouldn't have lost. I argued that the ETB ability would resolve anyways even if he got rid of the creatures.
I can see how Dig Through Time or Treasure Cruise would be a problem in your current build because you don't have enough spells that will land in your graveyard. Could be interesting in the sideboard though. I'm thinking of switching out Hammer of Purphoros (I rarely see it) and maybe one other card for 2 Digs to try to help mid-game.
Is anyone having problems drawing with this deck? I find myself to be topdecking by mid-game. I employ a heavy amount of scry, but that doesn't help cards get into my hand.

I am also interested in seeing what this would look like.
