Leif, this is exactly the type of WIP thread I was hoping for when I mentioned it to you during our interview. This thread (and the box itself) is awesome.
This is an odd thing to suggest, but believe me, it comes from first-hand knowledge.
Check with your neighbors. All of them, and especially the ones who have places things could get thrown - under porches, in yards, bushes, etc.
My car was broken into about 2 years ago, and my bag full of cards was taken, along with my iPod. The thief obviously didn't know what Magic cards were, and I was contacted through identification in the bag by a woman who lived down the street from me, who found the bag in her yard. The thief grabbed everything he could, but didn't see the value of the things in the backpack, so he took the iPod and ditched the bag.
Check dumpsters, any pawn shops (they won't care if its stolen goods, usually - you'll have to buy it back), anywhere where the bag could get dumped. It's worth the effort if you find it!
To everyone - LEAVE NOTHING IN YOUR CAR, EVER. My car was broken into again (different place) last week, and this time, the thief took nothing - because there was nothing in the car to take. YOU ARE NOT SAFE FROM BEING VICTIMIZED. BE CAREFUL, OR BE SORRY.
Good luck man, I know how devastating this feels. I was lucky, I hope you are too.
The debate is based on who should/should not be a part of the selection committee; and what criteria should be used to both select the committee as well as the inductees themselves.
I personally know one of the bigger name writers on SCG (Premium side) and if I recall correctly, he was on around 25-30k a year just for writing.
I'm not going to call flat-out BS, but there are VERY FEW writers that make that kind of money for articles, on SCG, CF, GatheringMagic, TCGPlayer, or elsewhere.
MOST of the writers do it as another hobby, a venture that helps pay for our Magic. Those of us who aren't professional players have jobs like anyone else. I'm an Electrical Engineer, myself.
FWIW, Swiss style tournaments are designed to be essentially double elimination events, except they allow for eliminated players to continue to participate in the event through its entirety - except in the situation where you make a cut based on record or standing to lessen the number of players, like at a GP day 2. In an event with X players, if you have the correct number of rounds {log(base2) X = rounds [rounded up]}, it takes an exorbitant amount of draws in awkward places to allow X-2 to make top 8.

I actually like the way you handled Tedin's signature on the Twister quite a lot.
MORE IRON GIANT PLEASE. Excellent start!

This is pretty fantastic. At first glance, I thought it actually was painted on a Nacatl, which is high praise.
