yeah which is why i was scared about running wright of precinct six because he was unreliable, im going to pick up 3 desecration demon's or should i run 4? cause he can help keep the field clear and if not he is a 6/6 flier for a 4 drop haha. that way im not depending on milling creatures to pump mine up cause consuming is just cards in the grave
ooooh that would be nice with hedron crab, it would be super good if i wanted to splash green cause i could use more land seeking cards and exploration and play 2 lands a turn (: and nighthowler looks pretty good and i think i have 1 or 2 of them actually. the only thing im scared of is the same thing with WoP6 is what if they dont have many creatures or none at all, but then i could still side board them out.
im not 100 percent sure on the difference between modern and legacy, but the types of deck i play are a mix between kitchen table and decks that have played in FNM events and decks that have played at tourneys at events like comicon.
and ive seen glimpse the unthinkable but its like a 17-20 dollar card, so i doubt ill ever get it. breaking//entering is good enough and i already have 4 of them (one of them being holo ) so i dont want to drop 80 bucks on 4 cards when i would rather get it to run very consistent and smooth and i can sub out those cards for breaking if i start to go to more tournaments. but that crab card is pretty nice haha, if i went more of the mana ramp route i feel it would be good, but if i want to win by turn 4-6 he might be too slow unless he was my t1 drop.
This is the first time ive ever posted anything to a thread so bare with me haha. I just started playing magic around when dragons maze was coming out so im pretty new. i really like the idea of milling when i got a couple extra consuming aberration i have made a commander deck around milling and using unblockable creatures with cipher effects (which i really enjoyed). but now i want to make my mill deck faster and i found out making it more aggressive i could make it faster. i play tested my revised deck against my simic counter deck and my mill deck won t5 with the score being 19 to -23. i want this to be consistent though. here is my deck
The Idea:
thought scour + Breaking = 10 cards in opp. gy the magic number for jaces phantasm to be a 5/5 flying. invis stalker with paranoid delusions can be a constant mill 3 the casts each turn, that is key for consuming aberration because when a spell is cast each opponent mills til they hit a land which powers him up for a fatal attack with artful dodge making him unblockable. i only have one deathrite shaman but in my test run he sped up the game when i milled them i could use his first ability to t4 consuming and make it game on turn 5.
i have tested with duskmantle guildmage but he seemed slow, and yes i know i can combo him with jace and mill 10 and deal 10 but it seems so combo based for what im looking for.
i really want to get desecration demon in here ill definitely replace WoP6 when i do get him. i also want 2-4 essence harvest's because that could be a major sorce of damage with jp, consuming, or dd on the field and it could be a game ender. i thought about maybe adding some hidden strings or hands of binding since i am using invis stalkers
invis stalkers w/ hands of binding and vampire nighthawk can keep them at bay while i mill to ramp up my creatures i can even pick nighthawk as a target for my cipher cards as well as jaces phantasm. and each time something is cast they will mill till they hit a land if consuming aberration is out.
