So last Friday night I competed in a FNM with my no creature counter mill deck and came in 2nd. (would have been first but I played carelessly.) After playing with that deck I realized I don't like playing with creatures. I enjoy surprising and pissing off my opponent. So I hate going back with the same deck so I built a new one. It's a counter burn deck that im pretty proud of. It is also no creatures. I know for a burn, or even an instant speed deck I should be running guttersnipe but we'll be getting into that later. Right now im at 65 cards and I hate it. I am a player who must have 60. So I was wondering if anyone could help me shred this down or even give me advice on my deck. It works very very well, but the only thing it lacks is draw power which seems to be my biggest downfall. As of now this is the deck.
The dictate if kruphixs were just put in today. Before I ran font of fortunes since I only pay 2 to put it down and I can pay another 2 for 2. I figured the dictate of kruphix is cheaper in the long run and I can run the trouble part of toil/trouble pretty affectively making sure my opponent has a full hand. a 3 cost for 7 damage would be nice. Also I run psychic spiral in there as a way of getting all my cards back while still hurting my opponent. I noticed I go through cards very fast with a bunch of cheap costing burns and counters and being able to mill my opponent for what has consistently been 15-25 is very nice. All while getting library restocked. And I know im going to get people saying guttersnipe should be in this deck since its pure instant and sorcerys, but im trying to keep this deck playing on my opponents turn as much as possible. But I'm still open to suggestions. If anyone has any advice on how to make this a 60 cards deck, substitutions, and especially a way for better draw power so its also not helping my opponent I would be very grateful for the help. Run ashiok. I run it in my mill deck and so far the only problem I face is burn decks. 3 drop planeswalkers are nice. Every turn you're exiling 3. And there have been times I've gotten to the ultimate. Exile opponents graveyard and their hand. You'd be surprised how helpful it is to have your opponent topdeck the rest of the game.
