Not completely awful for a newish deck. If it is as I suspect, you don't have a very large collection (yet!), so this might be the best you have to work with. One thing I've learned pretty early on is that you don't want a deck made up of 1 copy of a lot of different cards. And, as a lover of Sliver cards, can tell you that if you have cards that stack abilities on top of creatures of the same type (eg. Slivers, Minotaurs, etc), you want to make an entire deck out of them, or not use them at all. Of course, that isn't to say you won't win a game here and there, this is just my constructive criticism.
Also, in my experience, cards like Corrupt only do significant work in all-black decks. My brother plays a black/red Minotaur deck and he tried to play it on me several times, only doing about 4-5 damage, all the while tapping 6 mana! Not very worth it in a 2 color deck.
I'd suggest sticking with Stab Wound and adding more Child of Night's. I. Love. Child. of. Night. Keep Act of Treason too. That card has ruined me before.
Happy dueling
It also had an extremely satisfying kill mechanic. It feels so sweet to grab an enemy from behind and smother them, then slowly pull their body into the shadows (à la Metal Gear). But the best thing about it is the bow. Oh man, I used the hell out of that thing.
But the reason this game beat Infinite across the board for GOTY is because of it's damn story. That game (and even games like Bioshock) have more emotional power than books and movies to me, because you are actually playing through the story and controlling it. But TLOU has such a good story that it has ruined me for most other dense story games.
PLUS THE SOUNDTRACK OF THE LAST OF US!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Bioshock 1 blew me away the first time I played it. I mean, I replayed that storyline over and over and over. But it does lack the open-world environment I'm used to, with Fallout, Pokemon, etc. Of course, being linear doesn't make a game bad, Bioshock works well the way it is. But since it's such a straight-line with a big twist at the end, that once you get used to that twist, the game loses it's replay-ability. It did for me, at least. I've still replayed it over the years, but every time I enjoy it a little less. All 3 Bioshocks are incredible but have this same feeling.
Fallout 3. I have screamed and debated with people about this game. It's incredible. Played it before New Vegas. Loved it more than New Vegas. Couldn't BELIEVE my best friend liked Vegas more. It bored me. I was on such a gritty-nuclear-city-high since around the time Vegas came out, I had just seen Book of Eli and read Cormac McCarthy's "The Road". I missed Super Mutants. I missed the BOS. But over time, and through DLC's, patches, and updates, Fallout: New Vegas soared above all others to me.
Fallout 3 has a major mechanics issue that they fixed in NV. Zooming in. When you "zoom" in F3, your character just basically moves their heads forward. Weapon repairing is improved in NV (omg Weapon Repair KITS?!?!), customization for ammo and weaponry, increased level cap, etc. The companions in NV absolutely blow 3's out of the water. I love Fawkes so much, but I love every. single. companion in NV. Plus, they all have their own missions. Plus, you can ask them to move when they are standing in a doorway, instead of reloading a previous save.
Also, the story is much more diverse and non-linear. In 3, even if you do the "bad side", the end is basically the same. The karma system is based on such polar opposites that you find yourself being over the top evil or a goody-two-shoes. In NV, it's based on individual factions, which gives you a much wider range. The biggest dividing factor between F3/NV fans tends to be that F3 fans just love the nuclear sci-fi overload F3 has to offer. And honestly, it's hard to blame you guys. NV is a western game with sci-fi neatly tucked in here and there, but man, F3 is all about some sci-fi. I mean, Mothership Zeta? Come on. Plus, for any Twilight Zone fan, F3 is a dream come true. (felt that way to me, idk about you guys!) If people like F3 more for the big band music, the radiation, the mutants, the green clouds, the brotherhood, and for Liam ******* Neeson, I can't blame them. F3 delivers an incredible performance. NV just does something I've never seen done before, and I can't even put it into words. People really need to play all the DLC (IN ORDER) to get the full story. Once you see the whole picture from a birds eye view, man, it's incredible.
So yeah, I'm not trying to debate you choosing F3 for your pick! Without that game, I wouldn't be into NV! It's amazing. But I think NV just has more to offer to a wider audience. (psst I also had a few lore-related issues with F3 and really found it hard to take it super seriously after the Zeta DLC even though it was fun it was silly ahhhhhh run on sentences ftw)
NV is just open and lonely and hopeless and for the depressed insomniac, what more could I ask for?
Rant over.
You know I saw that card but none of my friends do this! Which is unfortunate because it would be great in this deck.
My favorite: Fallout: New Vegas.
Why?: Open world environment, leveling system, amazing companions, customizable weapons, 1st OR 3rd person, gambling, factions, and, most importantly, some of the most incredible and emotional DLC. Seriously, the DLC's are better than the actual campaign IMO.
How Much Do You Love It?: Love the game so much that I drove to the real life Goodsprings in Nevada. Visited Primm, Nipton, McCarran Airport, Cottonwood Cove, etc. Game genuinely changed my life.
What is your favorite game or game(s)? Why? And how much do you love it? Let me hear back from you!
(p.s. - close seconds: The Last of Us & Skyrim)
What have I become
HERE is the deck; a work in progress. Right now, it's mostly just goofy. But I want to add a more frustrating element to it.
(btw, since I'm new to the forum, more than likely there is already a forum for this, as other people tend to point out. That being said, if there is already a discussion like this somewhere, point me there. Thanks)
This costs 1 less mana than Archaeomancer which has basically the same ability. However, Archaeomancer is another creature for the board. I dunno, it would be useful though.
I'm welcome to ANY and EVERY suggestion for removals/additions. You all probably have a much larger mental library of cards, so if there's something that would work well in this deck, I need to know!
EDIT: Also, I'm considering removing Angelic Skirmisher and Emeria Angel to be able to add two more Ajani's Pridemate's. How do you all feel about that?
And thanks for the token response. I figured it worked that way, but I just want to check everything. I keep doing playtests on TappedOut and anytime I get stumped I add additional questions here.
