So if I have a Lazav, Dimir Mastermind and then a Frost Titan or Kaalia of the Vastwentr into an opponents graveyard and I made the Lazav one of those, does the attack triggered ability work since his name is still lazav, dimir mastermind and the other creatures card text states that "whenever frost titan attacks" or "whenever kaalia attacks"
Rulings:
5/1/2012 Once Deadeye Navigator or the creature it's paired with is exiled, the other creature will no longer have the activated ability. However, you can activate the ability of one creature in response to activating the ability of the other creature.
Soulbond text:
Soulbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired for as long as you control both of them.)
It says in the soulbond text that you can pair it when either enters the battlefield. so does that mean you can blink the creature its bonded with and upon re-entering the battlefield it can become bonded with it again?
If i were to cast Hatred, do I need to pay life in addition to the casting cost since it has Pay X life:
Basically if someone were to counter this spell would I only be losing out on the mana spent, or would I lose out on the life I was planning on spending as well.
So if someone were to mana short me, I could then in response pay for the trigger of the pact? and vise verse, if I went to pay for the pact they could short me?
If i were to use a pact of negation, then on my next upkeep its "at the beginning of your next upkeep" will trigger, in response to that triggering could someone mana short me causing me to take a loss? or is that not possible since I would have priority?
now if Jace, telepath unbound dies, does vryns prodigy go to the graveyard? or is he considered exiled?
Could anyone explain this?
You cast a spell or ability to bounce him to your hand - His ability triggers - you sac him - your bounce fizzles due to having no target
isnt that how it would go?
Thanks
and does it go off before or after defenders are declared?
