Tbh, Deviod and Ingest Are some of my favorite mechanics out of the set. So much synergy, and cool cross-set interactions. It makes me want to jump out and play Grixis or Dimir Eldarazai. If we are talking about lame mechanics, converge is one of the worst we have had in years. All the cards with it are lame, and pretty much impossible to work in limited because you risk mana screwing your self every game. Of corce there are better mechanics, but Devoid and Ingest are some of my favorites we've had. Everyone thought prowess was lame, but it turned out so well it became evergreen. I think these mechanics are very similar in terms of community reaction.
I doubt wizards would want devotion dominating another season of standard, so I doubt it. Hybrid was what made devotion so good, and wizards has already said that devotion was much better than they anticipated.
A vanilla 4/4 with lifelink isn't going to see modern play. His ability only really blanks path, and there many easy ways to remove him. 5 mana is a lot for modern. (thragtusk says hi )
Nice idea. It would be cool mechanic for limited. I doubt they would print it though because of storm being so combo-y, and how similar this mechanic is, even is the cards are overcosted.
No bolt, helix, electrolyze only one oncolor fetchland. Not as consistent and no easy win-con that doesn't take up extra space. For example, bolt is removal and a win con, where if your win con is lingering souls or such, you wont have as much versatility.
-Walls: Nice flavor with building an army; the army attacking into the walls. Possibly like they did in ROE.
-Artifacts: There hasn't been artifact synergy in a core set since M11, which hinted towards scars block, so I don't think this is just for limited purposes. If there is an artifact theme in KTK, it will be a smaller than what wizards did with scars block.
-Graveyard: The new Jace, dissipate and tormod's crypt all point to a graveyard theme.
All these themes have been done before, so there might be something everyone is glancing over.
After looking at the full spoiler, I thought Dissipate and Tormod's Crypt seemed out of place. We already have a 3 mana hard counter in the form of Dissolve.
There is no real graveyard deck in standard, so both Dissipate and Tormod's Crypt seem to point to graveyard synergies in Khans. If Khans is the enemy shards, then it seems likely that Junk will have graveyard synergies.
Ancient Tomb is WAY to powerful for standard. If printed, it would probably warp modern, something WotC doesn't want. Having ramp that doesn't take up space in a deck...
I bet M15 and Khans will bring some better removal for next standard. The Expensive removal in theros block was to help limited. I bet we will get some cheaper removal like Go for the Throat.

Am I missing anything here?
