The last pilot of Pod to win a GP (Omaha) "borrowed it from a friend." I disagree that it's lines of play where that difficult in most spots. You can immediately react with all the silver bullets. I guess you just had more breathing room because a lot of lines just produced great value no matter what you did.

How do you guys view the twin matchup? Specifically the RUG version with goyfs. Are typically on the beat down plan or trying to combo out? What mistakes do you commonly capitalize on?

You obviously don't bring in blood moon to color screw a colorless deck /eyeroll. You dont have to be color screwing decks entirely to justify bring in blood moon. Giving your opponent dead cards is card advantage and making really valuable lands into mountains is some sort of virtual CA.

But hey if you don't wanna take a 3-8 for 1 vs affinity i wont stop you. Also super secret tech, you can grudge a darksteel citadel to turn off metal craft while a blood moon is in play

What is the best card to bring in vs you guys? I was thinking it was probably it was engineered explosives. I also like nature's claim but is ancient grudge even worth bringing in?

Most important question first, what archetype are you playing?

Anyone crying about Supreme Verdict is obviously not playing around it. Vs Supreme Verdict decks you can be very patient and just attack with 1 creature over and over until they deal with it. Put them in a position to use sweepers at 1 for 1 value. Sure if you put 3-4 creatures out at once you're asking to lose the game. The only problem is when a deck you don't suspect has supreme verdict ends up playing it (like ad nauseam). Usually it's obvious.

I have access to RUG colors :p

Yes blood moon is good against affinity, they bring it in for some of their hard matchups and losing their manlands such but it's worth it against some decks. It's pretty linear thinking to say that if it's in their sideboard then it obviously must suck to bring in against them.

I didn't advocate bringing blood moon, all I said was blanking 12-14 cards isn't nothing.

Ya I bolt their bird, isn't that obvious? Or are you just assuming they aren't going to chord for spellskite when you try to break up the combo? Or you know they could just draw it or coco into it.

Maybe the reason you lose to CoCo so much is because you don't have blood moon?

I have played against it around 12 times (not to much on cockatrice or my meta) and have won most of the matches.

4 dispels + not that hard to combo, + blood moon is usually gg + anger of the gods is usually 3-1+

not bringing in blood moon against tron is a big mistake, they only run 20 lands so it's hard for them to hit 6-7 land drops, and they can answer it but if you leave up dispel or they have no natures claim you can usually win

Big mistakes in this post. When I was playing UR, I wasn't even certain to side in Moon, since they have 8/9 mana dorks and enough basic lands to perfectly play around it, plus 4 Thoughtseize after board, so Moon isn't that gamebreaking as you think. CoCo is 50/50, they also have PtEs and Decays, so comboing off isn't that simple, plus Skites, Chord for it and Company in answer to a Twin.
RG Tron lives very well through a Moon, it simply slows them down for a bit until they found a Nature's Claim, OStone (and probably that was already played before Moon), or just tutors, tutors, tutors until they hit the seventh land. Sure, it's ok, but it's definitely not gg.
I think Moon is just ok in the actual meta, and will be worse once RG Tron will get back in the Tier2 and Merfolk will rise in the Tier1. Doesn't wreck Grixis, doesn't touch UR Twin, doesn't even see the battlefield against Jund most of the times, doesn't touch Merfolks and it's bad against Affinity, and that's the Tier1 for you.
Edit: one of the worst cards against Burn too Grin

So its so good against jund that they want to discard it, so you don't want to play it? Blood moon is good against affinity, don't you hate casting anger and then dying to inkmoth nexus? Blood Moon is also good against infect for the same reason.

I don't care how many basics a 3 color non-red deck have, I'm bringing in blood moon. You were planning on bolting their bird anyways right? There T2 plays are WW or GW which implies a non-basic. And hey sometimes you can't play around blood moon, you just draw your fastlands and shocklands. Did I mention it turns off their plan B? Township.

Lastly turning off atarkas, boros charm, destructive rev and helix isn't nothing.

Ya this. Honestly I need to just grow up and accept that I will lose 1-2% of games because I couldn't fetch up basic mountain. If someone offered me 300 dollars to concede one game out of a hundred I think I would do it.....

I feel like most people, as was I, were expecting the fetches to be in the second set anyways.

Does anyone have any links for a comprehensive sideboarding guide? It can be outdated, I just want to start at a foundation level.

Or even if someone would like to share there own, that would also be appreciated!
