I have been playing CoCo elves and following this forum since GP Charlotte. Since then i have gone 18-5 with my five loses coming from Splinter Twin 2 times, Bant CoCo, Affinity, and Merfolk. The lose to Bant CoCo was due to flooding out bad both games and I was able to beat that deck the next time we played. I lost to affinity because of main deck Ethersworn Canonist (my friend was playing that deck and actually borrowed the Canonist from me to beat me) and Whipflare out of the sideboard, i have beat this deck two times since so I'm not too worried about that match up. The lose to Merfolk was because I was forced to mull to 5 both times i lost, but i have beat Merfolk 4 other times so just like the other decks I know I can beat it.
So far my only problem match up i havve is against Splinter Twin, I have lost games where i got out two Spellskites and a Hushwing Gryff.
This is my deck list.
It is quite possible i have been side boarding or playing the match up wrong. My go to sideboard against Splinter Twin is taking out Copperhorn, Craterhoof, Scooze, and a heritage to bring in 2 Forge-tenders another Skite and the Hushwing Gryff. If anyone has any advice on a different way to sideboard, a certain strategy I can use to beat them, or even different cards i should have in my sideboard (I have probably 20-30 other cards that have been considered for my sideboard), it would be greatly appreciated.
I am also open to any questions about my card choices and games ive played with the deck.
Has anyone attempted to build a deck that combos evolve with evoke? its seems pretty straight forward to throw down some evolve creatures, use the evoke creatures for their ETB abilities while pumping the evolve creatures already down, then when u get enough mana play your evoke for full price. i made a quick mock up once i thought of this but havnt gotten to testing it yet
