Yes, but is it one that I could get through by having True Sight? Kaulesh isn't Lyrillon, so he can't just MDJ the thing off. :p

Lyrillon isn't going to be of much help finding the succubus, though he'll happily teleport us to where we need to go once that location is determined (or gate us there if it happens to be a different plane).

Since the dean doesn't seem to have any more information, Lyrillon is pretty much going to wait.
The half-celestial looks around at the others. "If any of you have any idea where to start looking I'll happily take us there. Otherwise, we should start looking for information about the succubus." He turns to the dean. "I realize you don't know where this creature is, but do you have any idea where we might start looking?"

Spellcraft to see if I know what the displacement is from:[dice=1]20+41[/dice]

Actions for the next round are forthcoming based partially on how I feel when I have time to post them (hopefully later tonight), and partially on the results of that spellcraft check.

I don't believe Kaulesh can ignore a displacement effect, so only two attacks actually connect. The second and third. Anyone else wish to attack, since it'd be obvious that he whiffed two thirds of his attacks?

Would Knowledge (arcana) be the right thing to see if he recognizes what it is? And if so, also whether or not activating true sight will fix the problem. I may be a moot point if there's no second round, but assuming there is, I can activate my glasses for a nice, friendly "let's not miss stupidly again" effect. :p

I'm in under the condition that I can use Intharos, as previously built and played, obviously with some level-ups (maybe with some item makeovers).

There's no way I have time to make a completely new character right now, but I should have time to play if I can use an old one.

Lyrillon thinks for a moment. "We've seen this succubus before. I believe she attacked us on our original voyage here, but we were able to fend her off. I believe she then appeared again in some manner at the party where the princess was kidnapped, but I only remember seeing a silhouette then."

The half celestial looks around at the other members of the party who were there the whole time. "Do any of you remember any more?"
That's honestly all I remember since I was out for a good chunk of this campaign. Can someone remind me exactly what the deal is with this?

I'm not sure who it will matter for, but don't forget that you guys are all hasted.
As everyone starts rushing toward the creature, Kaulesh flicks his writs and becomes a complete blur to everyone in the room. He seemingly instantly appears behind the creature, and quickly hacks at it 5 times, his blade glowing with arcane energy.
Nothing particularly special here. Using a 6th level spell slot to stop time for 1 round, use the move action to move behind the creature and pull out my sword. Use my standard action to swap the weapon crystals on my sword, and use my other standard action (hi swiftbladiness!) to cast extended Wraithstrike so I can smash the thing more easily, burn a 7th level spell slot to Arcane Strike and power attack 12 into +24 damage. Then I swing 6 times (full attack for 5, and extra standard action for 1) at the thing after I come out of time stop.

    Note: All are touch attacks.

    Attack 1, 2, 3:[dice=3]20+55[/dice]
    Attack 4:[dice=1]20+50[/dice]
    Attack 5:[dice=1]20+45[/dice]
    Attack 6:[dice=1]20+40[/dice]

Regular damage (+54) on first 3, then electricity, then extra from truedeath:[dice=5]6[/dice]
    Arcane Strike:[dice=7]4[/dice]

As soon as someone mentions the presence of undead ahead, Kaulesh flicks his writs. The group members who have adventured with him previously hear a familiar muttering and everyone suddenly feels a bit faster and more agile (OOC: haste on the whole party (duh...)).

When he can finally see the creature, Kaulesh wastes little time.
I'll post my actual combat actions shortly once I have an idea of what everyone else's immediate reactions to this thing are.

Kaulesh looks around at the others. "I'm still unsure about this, but it appears we have little choice at this point." The swiftblade follows after Z, still looking as if he is intentionally walking slowly despite keeping up with the slightly faster pace.

Catching up slightly to Szordin, he nods. "May I ask where we are going that I or another member of this party could not have simply teleported us? It is my understanding that we are short on time here, so magical means of travel seem a bit more appropriate."

The half-celestial elf looks at Grey carefully for a moment. "My name is Lyrillon," he says calmly after the bickering has stopped. "I am willing to trust you for now. While I agree with Neishu that some time off would be nice, I don't believe we can spare that at the moment."

He looks around at the others and prepares to cast a spell. "With the success of our most recent venture, the Dean's soul should be free now. I do not have the power to resurrect him, but know some of you do and I can get us to the palace." He sighs and continues. "We really should go through the proper channels before resurrecting anyone, but in the special case of the Dean I think an exception in warranted."

With that he waits for everyone to join hands before casting Greater Teleport to get the entire group into the palace.

Kaulesh looks mostly like large (as in broad) human. He's only 5' 9", but he's clearly incredibly strong. Also, he's wearing incredibly bright gold armor and has some runes floating around his hairless head.

If you have true sight his skin has a very distinct green color, but otherwise it looks like normal human skin thanks to his hat of disguise.
Kaulesh nods. "Yes, I think joining the others will be a good idea. We all have some work to do."

Lyrillon seems to purposefully ignore Harahel's 'half-breed' remark and continues with the conversation. "No," he says shaking his head. "I would prefer to leave him here, but I fear he will find a way out if we do that. Assuming he manages to get off the island far enough to use magic, I would prefer to have him with us."

He looks at Harahel. "I agree that this would be a good place for him to stay, but I don't think that's as practical as you seem to."

Kaulesh looks at Caex. "Our friend seems to have left of his own accord. May as ask who that was?" the swiftblade inquires. "Judging from your demeanor I can only guess it is someone you feel we shouldn't have anything to do with."

Lyrillon nods politely to the Archimandrite. "I believe the best place now would be the library in Tychos," he says with a smile. The half-celestial turns to the others, wondering whether anyone will raise an objection.

"Thank you," he adds, looking back at the mummified holy creature.

As the archmage disappears, Kaulesh moves in, stepping carefully over the rubble left when Caex created a hole in the wall. "Caex, what's going on here?" the swiftblade inquires with a mix of curiosity and urgency.
