Yes, GIMP is free. Also, I'd just try rebooting your computer. If that doesn't work, reinstalling should help, and if that doesn't work, then I don't know what to say (other than get CS2 :sneaky:).
Anyway, I've had quite a bit of experience with Elements 4.0 and frankly, I've now become spoiled with CS2, but it's still a good program. I never had problems like that, so either you have a corrupted version, or there's something wrong with your computer.
Since the dean doesn't seem to have any more information, Lyrillon is pretty much going to wait.
Actions for the next round are forthcoming based partially on how I feel when I have time to post them (hopefully later tonight), and partially on the results of that spellcraft check.
Would Knowledge (arcana) be the right thing to see if he recognizes what it is? And if so, also whether or not activating true sight will fix the problem. I may be a moot point if there's no second round, but assuming there is, I can activate my glasses for a nice, friendly "let's not miss stupidly again" effect.

There's no way I have time to make a completely new character right now, but I should have time to play if I can use an old one.
The half celestial looks around at the other members of the party who were there the whole time. "Do any of you remember any more?"

When he can finally see the creature, Kaulesh wastes little time.

Catching up slightly to Szordin, he nods. "May I ask where we are going that I or another member of this party could not have simply teleported us? It is my understanding that we are short on time here, so magical means of travel seem a bit more appropriate."
He looks around at the others and prepares to cast a spell. "With the success of our most recent venture, the Dean's soul should be free now. I do not have the power to resurrect him, but know some of you do and I can get us to the palace." He sighs and continues. "We really should go through the proper channels before resurrecting anyone, but in the special case of the Dean I think an exception in warranted."
With that he waits for everyone to join hands before casting Greater Teleport to get the entire group into the palace.
If you have true sight his skin has a very distinct green color, but otherwise it looks like normal human skin thanks to his hat of disguise.
He looks at Harahel. "I agree that this would be a good place for him to stay, but I don't think that's as practical as you seem to."
"Thank you," he adds, looking back at the mummified holy creature.
