Well, while this could very well be possible, it would take a little work. One way I could see this happening is with some artifacts. Lets say you get 2 Islands, a Sol Ring or two, and some other artifact that produces mana like Sky Diamond in you hand. Thats 4 mana you could produce in 1 turn. And if you draw a card and get something like Thran Dynamo and you play your other land in your hand, thats 8 mana you can use on turn 3. I had that combo once, and it was awesome. I'm pretty sure there are other means of generating 8 mana by turn 4, but thats one way I could pull it off.
Ok, after some time I decided I wan't to convert this into a Modern deck. Now I'm playing more towards aggro with this deck but with some control like clearing out a little bit of the field with cards like Geth's Verdict and Pharika's Cure. Since I wan't to make this Modern legal, I took out the Wall of Corpses, Dark Ritual, and the Oversold Cemetery that he gave me. I added in some cards myself that probably doesn't fit in here but I tried experimenting with. Here is the deck
I thought since I had all of that creature removal I would take advantage of peoples graveyards by also adding a Rise of the Dark Realms or two and another Fated Return. I had 2 Liturgy of Bloods in it but decided to take them out for some reason. Anyways, have some fun and see what to add in and take out. Lets convert this kitchen table monstrosity and turn it into a worth Modern deck
If you're wanting to make this modern legal, I assume you're looking to bring it to tournaments? If so, I would make use of mtg top8 and review the Mono Black Aggro Control lists that are available there.
But, right off the bat I would say to add some consistency to the deck, there are a lot of 1-ofs that make it hard to know what the deck is going to do.
I know there are a lot of 1-ofs in this deck, and that's what I'm trying to decide on getting rid of or adding more of. I might take it to a tournament, or I might bring it to Friday Night Magic, depends on what I feel like doing. But after getting rid of the Dark Rituals, the Oversold Cemetery, and my Wall of Corpses, that left me 6 spots to fill in, so I added a Essence Harvest, 2 Liturgy of Bloods, another Stab Wound, Doom Blade, and a Deathgaze Cockatrice. While I like Lord of the Void, I feel like I could get better use out of him with a mill deck. I could get rid of Midnight Recovery and add in another Fated Return, but I'm not sure about it. I'm still a novice deck maker so hopefully I will learn something by the end of this. Anyways, hopefully I can make this into something worthy of a Modern deck.

Well I am back. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy with school, building new decks, etc. Anyways I thought of this, what if I also added in some artifacts that could also help me get more mana? Artifacts like Sol Ring or Thran Dynamo. As an example, lets say I get a hand with 1 Land, 4 Sol Rings, and some other cards. I could play that one land, then tap it and play the Sol Ring, then tap that one and play two more rings, and then tap one of them and play my other one. Although highly unlikely, anything is possible, and that would mean I would have 9 mana to work with on my next turn, plus some more depending on what I draw. Again highly unlikely that I would get that sort of a hand, but it is a possibility. Just something I wanted to say.
All these suggestions are really good. So this deck will be a Blue/Green and I will be sure not to add Spellbook or Accorder's Shield. I like the combination of Cloudpost+Thespian's Stage+Glimmerpost+Vesuva as that can get me a lot more mana to work with. At first I thought what would be the point of adding Eye of Ugin but then I realized that I might not be able to get Omniscience in time, so it could help me get those fatties out quicker. I kind of don't wan't to add Show and Tell as that could help my opponent and ruin my plans, so I can't take that chance. I will be sure to add some Reliquary Towers though to take the place of Spellbook. I would love to type more in but I'm extremely tired so I will check this thread tomorrow Man I think this deck is going to be pretty fun to play with once I get the money
So you might remember me from my thread "Help building a overpowered mono black deck" and first off I would like to thank all of those who have given me suggestions and such, but that project will be left in the back of my mind for now. That said I've been looking at cards like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre and thought to myself "Hmmmm I wonder how ridiculous of a deck I could make to annoy my friends ". Now looking at the prices of these monsters I know it isn't going to be a cheap deck either, buy hey Christmas is coming, one day, and maybe I could ask my mom for some money for christmas for me to blow on magic cards (Maybe, just maybe, she could give me $200, maybe...). So with the expertise of the people who has been playing Magic longer than me maybe you could help out. I've been trying my hand at deck building again and its working a little smoothly, I've got to work out some kinks on a project I'm currently working on. First these cards are going to be expensive to play (15 mana, jeez) but I was thinking about throwing in a Omniscience to get them out, but I can see the problem there as it costs 10 mana to play, which I could use on playing a creature. But then again with it I can play pretty much play any card in my hand, heck I was thinking about throwing in a few Spellbooks so I don't have to worry about having to many cards in my hand. But I'm still a noob so you guys are probably raging in front of your computer or phone screens reading through this. Anyways here are some of the cards I've considered throwing in there Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Omniscience, Spellbook, It That Betrays, possibly a Colossus of Akros but more than likely I won't, again this one is a iffy kind of card but maybe Kozilek, Butcher of Truth but I'm not sure about that one. I could throw in 4xAccorder's Shields so they won't tap. Feel free to give me suggestions, add some cards, get rid of some. Hope you guys don't rage that badly from this. Have a nice day.
Seems like your friends decks might be pretty casual if that's the case.
Which is exactly what this deck is perfect for. Kitchen table magic with friends.
If you plan to take this deck to a sanctioned tournament, I'd advise you convert it to a modern deck as to make it standard legal you would need to cut like 4/5th of the deck, and legacy is way too powerful for this deck.
Even then, keep in mind it would be a casual modern build. Nothing wrong with that of course. I play budget modern with friends and have a blast.
I think it's pretty blah. It's not Modern-legal because of Dark Ritual/Wall of Corpses and it's not Standard-legal for a bunch of reasons, so it feels like it'll be underpowered. It certainly won't be overpowered, which is what you said you were aiming for. For a deck that seems to want to be aggro it starts off with Wall of Corpses at the bottom of the curve which doesn't make a lot of sense.
However, if you like playing black there are a number of cards in the deck that are perfectly useful for casual, so it's not like buying it is a loss. You'll just have to tweak it a lot or part it out to add cards to other deck(s).
I guess you need to decide whether you want to play aggro or control and also take into account what your meta looks like.
I said something wrong, this isn't going to be my overpowered deck, its just a deck I decided to pick up on eBay just to see how well these decks can play. I believe it is legal for Vintage and Legacy. Again not my overpowered deck but something to play around with for fun and to see how well these decks perform.
Sorry for the long absence, been busy with life, anyways all these decks are great, thanks for all the suggestions Wednesday I decided to buy one of those pre-made decks on eBay because I got curious as to just see how it would perform in play and all. Here is the thread I started with the deck listed on it and such if you wan't to go see it. http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magic-fundamentals/magic-general/opinions-polls/571836-decided-to-buy-one-of-these-pre-made-decks-on-ebay Also it will be here on Monday, a day before I can play a game of magic with my friends.
So I was browsing through eBay out of boredom. After a little while I looked at the pre-made decks on there and I found one that caught my interest. It was a mono black demon deck (didn't specify if it was aggro or anything, I don't even know what to classify it as) and I decided to buy it. Yes I'm the guy that started the "Help building a overpowered mono black deck" thread and I'm still looking through the suggested decks on that thread, but I decided to buy this deck because it seemed interesting and I wanted to see how it would perform in play. I ordered it on Wednesday and it should arrive on Monday. I wouldn't consider it aggro because the cards are pretty expensive. But here is the deck
Ok so lets say I am in a game and somebody tries to use Curse of the Swine on me, all I have to say is "Ok and I will exile the top card of my deck" and then I remove those counters to inflict damage and then I say "Ok I will exile another card off the top of my deck" again and again? And he can't use Curse of the Swine until that chain is broken?
Ok so I get how the spot removal thing works if somebody tries to deal damage to Ooze that way. But what about a card that can exile it? Still not getting that
I know there are a lot of 1-ofs in this deck, and that's what I'm trying to decide on getting rid of or adding more of. I might take it to a tournament, or I might bring it to Friday Night Magic, depends on what I feel like doing. I'm still a novice deck maker so hopefully I will learn something by the end of this. Anyways, hopefully I can make this into something worthy of a Modern deck.

Well I really didn't care if the deck was aggro or control, because I alternate between both of those playing styles.
