All this can be packed into a deck that also has access to Azorius Charm, Supreme Verdict and Sphinx's Revelation. Even with the GG in the mana cost it's not an issue since colour fixing hasn't been this easy for ages.
The card would be just awesome even against fast aggro. Not only do you get rid of the threat you countered but you also get enough mana out of it to be able to cast Thragtusk with removal/counter backup at least two turns earlier then you normally could.
Honestly, the card is so good it's terrible.
This. Seriously, I can see casting this on turn 3 after a farseek, only to drop a thragtusk on the following turn with angel mana up.
Damn, late game you counter their relevant spell and kill'em with a kessig activation.
It's an interesting game WotC is playing (if this is true ofc). How much can you nerf Mana Drain and still have it as a control staple.
Truly a card that will make dackbuilders spend some time on. I'm realy liking the way CS is going, there are many cards on the set that have possibility, and we know only about 1/3 of the set yet...

Sorry for the old timers, but troll has to be the new iconic creature for green, djin simply is having to buy some many boxes of viagra to keep going at this age ^^
