I like the option to split the colored mana, it's not a useless attacker and there is always the chance you can win. Bloom Tender is pretty good just as a dork, and it costs 1 less.
In a complete aside, what do you think about Fathom Mage vs. Prime Speaker Zegana? Most of the creatures in my deck are 2/2's, so Zegana isn't as explosive. But Fathom Mage also doesn't draw cards the turn she comes down and requires other creatures to be successful, but does come down earlier.
I'd consider cutting Rhystic Study . It eventually outlives it's usefulness. Garruk, Caller of Beasts is a boss though, that Ancestral Recall first ability is nice.
Brutalizer Exarch seems pretty bad. Expensive and the effect isn't that great.
Progenitor Mimic is fun, but expensive.
Spreading Plague is non-token creatures. I like Catastrophe because of its flexibility. I like Liliana of the Veil as a resource denial machine over Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas incrimental advantage. Night of Souls' Betrayal + Humility is a thing, the hype is real.
Stax decks in my experience are better at just presenting more threats then suitable for finding answers. My list is counterless. I've got no combos to protect, and I would rather draw the 1-for-1 and have another "must counter" card to back it up. Eventually they'll run out of answers.
Also, what do you think of Toxic Deluge? I think it's a mass removal card that Oloro would love to be running.
How about Cursed Totem or Torpor Orb? What are your feelings on Utter End?
