That's what I figured everyone would say. It seems ironic that the color I use the least was the one I got the extra while my most common color *although it's usually the supporting color* is the lower.

Now that the holidays are over, I figured it was time to update my EDH decks. I got a fat pack before the holidays, partly for the lands, and wanted to add the lands. I opened it up, began to sort them out, and noticed I had one of those that had to be reworked since the order changed. The end result was 17 Islands and 15 Swamps. I was really looking forward to the full art swamps for Korlash. Would it be mean to bug customer service over something like this?

I know someone is going to want to say, Island is the best anyways, but my EDH decks are swamp heavy.

I had this done in Atlanta. Screw tournement legal. I have a horrible pun to go with my Freddie Mercury Brimaz. Brohemian Cat's a King/Bohemian Rhapsody

So the other week I happened to see an acrylic photo cube at my bank and thought of turning one into a deck box. I'm happy enough with my results that I'd figure I'll share it. In total it cost me about $11.50, but some of the supplies were freebies like glue and magnets for me. It took me about a week to figure out everything.

The process was to just find the photo cube, which was simple enough. I super glued extra magnets and iron plates from window blinds to the inside. For the paint, which was all spray paint, I started with a blue base coat. I used masking tape to make the patterns. I just traced the Izzet symbol and cut it out with an exacto knife. For the lightning I just ripped the masking tape into shapes that felt good enough. I gave the blue on the sides a very fine dusty of white. When I was done with the masking tape, I put on the red coating. The final coating was just a matted clear coating to help seal the paint.

There's some things I'm unhappy with, but nothing bad enough that I wouldn't use it.
I found out after buying the cube the inside of the standard 4"x4" could be smaller based on how they made acrylic. In my case the sides fold in to help the cube stay together normally. This makes the cards bend a good bit near the edges when sheeved. The simple solution I found was to make a little triangle platform so the cards rest at an angle to have more resting distance.
The paint took forever to dry. If I was to do it again, I would hang it up so I could spray paint all 6 sides at one time. I would also try to layer it 4 times instead of the 2 I did. 2 seems like it was still to heavy to dry perfectly in the 24 hours.

The parley and draw deck can easily run over 40 cards I feel. In a multiplayer game, the game can easily go long. With drawing 10 cards in a game that last 20 turns, having more options and a larger deck feels great. Of course if someone drafts the BR burn deck you could be in trouble with limited ways to gain life.

To evil lord, I'm willing to finish off the godless shrine playset and spend up to 50 more. The other changes I'd be willing to spend up to 50. I didn't think about rest in piece since there was graveyard hate in the sideboard already, but I think rip sounds better as a hoser. Is dismember main better than zealous in modern now? Should I just finish the thoughtseize playset, too? I fill better about investing into that more than the inquisitions although I know both serve the same function in the deck. Stop their turn two or three play while getting dudes and buffs on the board.

To deathtouch, I think I'll try the sac version after I have some time with the normal version of the deck. I saw my blood artist while grabbing my signed intangible virtues to put into the deck and wondered how will it could work.

I picked up the deck on Friday since bw tokens is my favorite style of deck to play and it is the easiest way for me to get into modern. The box feels great for holding a deck. I like it a lot more than the flip top since there's a clear separation from the sideboard. The sleeves feel about average, but a hair behind the Japanese foil sleeves for comparing likes to likes. I'm a little sad at the card list itself. I wish they had a few more uncommons that matter more in modern like the full inquisition set and a fetchland/shadowmoor land over city of brass.

That say, what would people recommand as easy upgrades to the deck? I own 2 thoughtseizes, 3 hero of bladehold, 3 mirran crusaders, a godless shrine or two, a full set of stony silence, a Brimaz altered into Freddie Mercury *feel I need to just use him because of that* and some odds and ends I can't think of off the top of my head. I know there's a better board to ask this, but there seems to be more interest in this thread. I might be willing the spend about 50 to upgrade the deck excluding finish the godless shrine set, so what's the best place to start? I'll also answer an opinion questions I might have not stated already.
