Well I thought making it Standard, so we would need only 60 cards to make decks. But seriously, Standard Lieutenant sucks and needs to be bigger. I just don't like exactly how open Commander is, it makes the game harder to play if you are new. And I want this format to be good for people who haven't played Commander.
Lieutenant is a format I made up as an easier approach to Commander. The format works like this: 60 card singleton, Only commons and uncommons, 1 Rare creature as your "Commander", normal Commander casting rules follow. Would you try this out as "Baby Commander?".
I have trouble making non-tribal or themed Commander decks but I want to make an [[Aurelia, The Warleader]] deck. Angels aren't a good tribe and aren't solidly in white and red, so I'm really confused. Can someone help me out?
This deck plays like a glass cannon, but an accurate glass cannon that has a good chance to survive firing if handled correctly. Does 20+ damage turn 4-6 sounds good? Go ahead and play this deck. LONG LIVE THE BATTLE CATTLE!
In this format, you have a 59+1 Singleton deck, and the 1 is a Planeswalker. You can only play cards within your Planeswalker's colors. Also, your Planeswalker starts in play. Your Planeswalker, not you is attacked. Every time your planeswalker is destroyed, out a Fainted counter on it. Then it is exiled for a turn for each fainted counter on it. After that, it comes back into play. While your planeswalker is "fainted" you are attacked and you only have 15 health. Sounds fun? I think it sounds fun.
I like the idea of 60 card, 1 Planeswalker General, 2 of each card. Your Planeswalker starts in play and each time he/she/it gets defeated, it can't be cast for 3 turns and you can be targeted. 15 life and standard EDH general casting rules.
I'm hosting a party coming up and enough Magic players will be available to do a 6 person draft. I want to be able to keep all the cards opened so Theros up. All I need to know is what set to draft. Khans will be out by the time it comes, and I need the most cards from that set. Theros block sets have the most interesting mechanics but I have a lot of Theros cards. M15 is a core set, so nothing too special about it. What recent set will be fun for a casual draft?
