I don't think the command or Abzan Aggro is pushing it out. I think some of the really fast aggro decks and not many people playing it was the difference. The deck is incredibly durdly and who wants to do that for an entire tourney? Very few do and most of them would want a more traditional control deck that makes you feel in control from the beginning.

    Delfam,

While I like your deck, I completely disagree about Whip. Whip is far better than Bow. You have two trample options which doesn't make Bow that much better. I would far rather gain a ton of life from the SotF trigger than just get DT on a creature that will crush their blocker anyways. Bow just does so little from my testing of the new environment.

I'm not a fan of Mystics either in this deck. They help in a monsters deck because a turn two Domri is very powerful and turn two courser isn't bad in any situation. Either they kill it and leave room for the Polukranos, etc or you get card advantage at some point. They also help put out a turn 3 Polukranos, etc which is always powerful. Pushing really fast to put out a PW can be very powerful but not much more-so than a turn 4 one. A turn 3 Chandra does very little. Turn 4 Nissa isn't great and the same goes for Vraska. So that leaves one PW that can be better as an earlier drop. That doesn't warrant the inclusion in mt mind. Give me 3 answers instead.

Yeah, I like the variant but wouldn't go under 24 land at all. Mana flood is part of the game but more people lose from various mana shortage issues than anything else in the game.

Some good points and I will be changing it up again with some Downfalls. There's a few other places I will try to work it to have the 3 thoughtseize. When I think about it more, this deck is fun and powerful which means there will be more players jumping aboard. Downfalls are probably our best removal so why not have them in every match? Kudos.

    Trapped,

I like your list and am also experimenting with 0-3 mystics. I don't like Garruk so far and have removed him from my list. He is extremely powerful but he just feels win more right now to me. I also prefer 3 MD Thoughtseizes over the hero's downfall. Thoughtseize is really never totally dead game one and downfall is sometimes.

Love the new walkers list. Looking for a few adjustments SB based off the final results but it seems like a pretty solid answer to most of the format. Still not sold on 4 Nissa but might consider having 2. Currently using one and testing with the second. Four just seems excessive.

    Control,

I don't want to sound bad but why in the world do you not SB in testing? How can you possibly know what's not working if you have no clue how games 2-3 will turn out? Also, 4 skylashers in the SB would do wonders for your mono blue matchup which is a much better deck ATM than any random enchant deck you would find. Your deck is honestly top heavy and you need to decide which fat stays and which fat to trim. Your deck is also optimized for an enchant deck that hasn't really taken off yet. Maybe revisit after the new set comes out?

    Unnecessary.

Burning tree isn't meant for ramping. It's an almost broken Nykthos enabler and a free creature play early in the game. The incredibly broken games I've had with a starting BTE are what makes this deck so explosive. Caryatid is solid and I like a couple in the deck. I would never get rid of BTE until Wizards forces me in a few months.

    Red lol,

I think you are trying to combine two different themes and your success will increase once you pick a theme. Mono G aggro has some potential and that's where swordwise, and rev hunter would truly excell. Cards like experiment 1, dryad militant, and tusker work fantastically with aspect of hydra and those cards to quickly end games. Mana dorks don't work well there. The other option is speed ramp which needs at least 10 ramp guys and is much more explosive with BTEs in the deck. It tries to ramp into overpowering creatures or spells. It has little need of early aggro because it's all about the big stuff. Your deck is too inconsistent IMO. Your SB is ok but there's better options than naturalize right now.

In my testing I've found the deck only really needs a few silver bullets and the older versions aren't that far off from where I want to be. New cards I really like are the indestructible Soul, Nissa, hornet queen, chord, the reclamation sage, and Kalonian twingrove. Genesis hydra has been pretty good at times and just ok in others. Doom engine has been ok too. Hornet nest has been disappointing so far but I still really like it. I really enjoy the games after SB just to play with some of the toolbox.

I think Yisan is slow and vulnerable which makes him a 1-2 of at most and easily not needed. I am of the completely opposite opinion of Chord that Bostonsteve is. Rarely has a format seen such easy and outrageous amounts of mana as right now. Sure, the targets are fewer and less powerful. Chord just came back as well and there are some really solid options.

I agree with less toolbox and more overall useful cards. We just need 4-5 toolbox cards to put this over the top.

I have a GB deck built too.

I don't have Garruk CoB, and can't really justify buying any at this point. I'm a Mono-Black going G or/and GB.

I can't blame you at this point but it's a far better option for those who have it. I'm really trying to find a way to use those expensive and backbreaking black spells but mono G will probably be the best option for now.

Broodmaster as a 1-2 looks really good.

I'll jump in as well. While we still have him, I much prefer Garruk, Caller over Life's Legacy. We don't lose a creature, it's reusable and we already play lots o' creatures. His negative ability is incredible as well. I also have to play chord now that it's legal. That card gives us so many more options. I'm looking at a Gb build as well for this deck.

I think the better shell will probably end up as a G/B ramp/devotion deck with some of the high end power available. There's a ton of really powerful options late for G/B in a few weeks.
