The closest thing I've seen to a god pack was one day when a kid came into the back room of the local gaming store. Kid had three to five boosters of Darksteel (the newest set at the time). Kid opens first pack, gets a foil rare. Second pack, foil rare. Third pack, foil rare. And then a rush happened and the display was bought up immediately and yes, every pack had a foil rare.

The same thing happened at my local game store. I am not sure if it was Shards of Alara or Zendikar. All the packs in that display have a rare foil.

Is Dack Fayden an actual planeswalker made by wizards, or is he just a character for this comic book.

I'm just wondering if they confirmed a planeswalker here, but it seems like he's just some guy since he was in ravnica too.

Look at Bred for the hunt.

Thalia on Turn 2. Swarm the field with creatures. In your oppenents turn 5 Upkeep Aurs Fury, sup Supreme Verdict. Only miracle Terminus could interrupt this.

Actually... This thing can stop a miracle Terminus.

Ral Zarek will (almost) certainly get his planeswalker card in Dragon's Maze, since he appears in the RtR e-book --

I think it's certain considering that his picture was right there in the announcement. He is not really a good guy though.

The novel suggests that we will most certainly get some vampires in UB. It resonates well with the story on Uncharted Realm the previous week. I really hope that vampire will be playable as a tribe.

I am not really sure if the book was good on its own... or I was so traumatized by Zendikar and Mirrodin. Still, it was actually able to captivate me from beginning to end. Totally worth the cost. I can't really wait for the second one to come out. Smile

    So... UB Vampire coming up?

Savia: Thanks a lot. That was one hell of a good game. The MOJO was epic. I thought I was a goner when the client crashed.

So if my opponent who's at 2 life draws a card and I say something to the extent of "Did you lose life for that card?", he can just say that that was his normal draw for the turn instead of the Dark Confidant trigger since he A) can't prove which of the cards he just drew since he already put it in his hand and B) can just argue that he forgot the upkeep trigger? That's BS.

Also, if we do not have reasonable ground to believe that he has the intention to cheat, you are the person who get to decide whether the Dark Confidant's trigger will be placed on the stack. Under the old policy, you have no choice. The trigger was to be considered as non-lapsing, and it would be placed on the stack whether you like it or not.

Does the new policy sounds a little better now?

To make sure everyone follows - papa funk is Toby Elliott, the L5 judge who is the major architect of these changes.

I'm David Lyford-Smith, an L3 that was involved in the project.

This policy does require judges to exercise their, ahem, judgment; Dark Confidant is in a vacuum to be a beneficial trigger. That's why people put him in their decks. Yes, it has a potential downside, but on the balance of the facts it is a net positive to the card.

Just to make sure. With "the current game state is not a factor", it means that we don't consider whether the player who missed Dark Confidant's trigger is low on life. It sure worth investigating for potential fraud, but we don't give him a warning simply because of that, right?

I just want to make it clear that we should not give a warning even when the potential for fraud is relatively high. I noticed that another judge was saying something on this regard the previous page.

P.S. Your name sounds familiar... Did I play against you on the last round of MOJO?

My LGS back in Thailand mentioned something in our National Forum that the Distributor told him that the price of Pre-Release kit will be more expensive by approximately USD 5 per head. Is this the same with you? I kinda wonder whether it's worldwide, or it's only my country.

If there is no Rare/Mythic Rare in Guild Boosters other than the promo, it effectively reduces the value of this Pre-Release by a whole booster. With regard to the two boosters, haven't stores been getting two boosters prize support from WotC since ages ago?

He can be "blocked" by any creature on the field. Even creatures that can't block. Flying is evasion, until any dork on the field can be sacced to negate the evasion.

The fact that they have to die in order to do so is relevant. You can probably say that a 7/7 without flying can "effectively block" the demon, but in doing so... it's dead regardless of having either indestructible or regeneration, and the demon lives.

Notice it's EACH combat, which means if you're opponent doesn't sac a creature on their swing he'll get bigger even if he's already tapped.

Actually, he gets +1/+1 counter when a creature is sacrificed.
