Well this sorta stuff cant happen ALL THE TIME. Any program will catch glitches like this. It obv must be working good enough since tons are playing it. I remember the old mtgo having lots of issues as well and that didnt stop anyone, plus as the other fella said witc returns refunds for stuff like this.
In your opinion is MtGo worth playing full time for someone like me? I'm a single father, working full time and doing heavy traveling like I once did just is not a good thing for me now but I do want to play competitive MtG again ... and all I can see me doing seriously now is MtGo. Can I actually accomplish anything (end game) now on MtGo? From whats been posted sounds like they have downsized online play from what it used to be and I am not sure it will be productive in the end to jump into MtGo headfirst now. Just looking for guidance to help me move forward with a decision.
When I played Live MtG I went to every event I could go to and did quite well, placed in a good many GP's, SCG events and came close to Qing for several PT's, even took 9th in an online PTQ. Will I be able to come close to this type of seriousness online?
mtgo is slower and buggier than before. but you can file for compensation and always get refunded, make sure your computer can handle it before you buy in
They removed premier events???? Why did they do that? The entire format is new to me, every set in STD actually so will be forced to relearn from scratch plus the way PTQ's are now is sorta unknown to me. What was the reason for cutting Dailys down so much? Can I still pretty much find dailys and other constructed events when I want them or are they more scarce now to where I have to wait for one to pop? Kinda curious behind the reason to decrease the online events.
I have like a $4k machine, I'll be fine on that part.
I once played MtG on a high level .... grinded the SCG Circuit, PTQ's, GP's and any other major event I could get into. Played the older client online halfway competitive, mostly deck tested online. It just got to be too expensive to keep traveling like I was and in the end I cashed out. This was a couple years ago. I still do not see myself playing LIVE cards, unless I Q for something big online, so it has me curious if I could afford to play on MtGo. I hated the new client, I so miss the old one. But I miss the game enough that I might try to force myself to like this new client. Questions are ................
- If I were to play online, I would probably throw myself into it 100%, how expensive would it be for me to jump back into STD format and restart playing on a serious competitive level of play?
- Are there plenty of high level events on MtGo?
- Can you Q for Pro Tours online like you used to? (I heard the PTs were changed up a bit?)
- Are the Dailys and Premier events still played all the time?
Whats changed with MtGo from a couple years ago that I might need to be aware of?
Thanks for any and all replies this might get.
I think it'll make STD a little more interested and give it more cards to play with, but the biggest issue I see with this is how there turning the game even more of a money pit than ever before and this is going to push a lot of folks away from the competitive game that simply cannot afford it Personally I do not like this move and I don't even play anymore. I had actually thought of coming back to the competitive side of MtG but after seeing this ...... think I am gonna stay away.
