I like Atla!
Here's the deck I would build
-Lots of big Green and Red creatures (+maybe a big Eldrazi or two)
-4 or 5 sac-outlet cards for the eggs
-Cards that gives haste and/or flying and/or hexproof
-Ramp spells
-Spot removal
-Homeward path
-Fireballs to finish things up
Et voilà!
Hello, for all Judges and knowledgeable people here: Will THIS work? EUREKA+NICOL BOLAS, DRAGON GOD+DOUBLING SEASON ? Specifically, if BOTH Nicol Bolas and Doubling Season are put on the battlefield at the same time with EUREKA, will Bolas have 4 or 8 loyalty counters? Thanks!
POPEYE STOMPY (at least my mana-screwed version) IS a thing that can win in Legacy.
Here's the proof on XMage, and the decklist.
Note that in the first game, opponent has NO board at all turn 5!
I also had very competitive loss to D&T, Manaless Dredge and Elves.
There are TONS of tribal decks that are barely playable in COMMANDER that could profit from this.
(Thallids and Monks come to mind among dozens others)
But the Wizards blurb says "most popular tribal decks", so we'll get the same old, same old...
Blessed Wind(opp to 20 life)/Veldaken Orrary(can play nonland at instant speed)/Drain Life(drain opp to 13 life)/Repay in Kind(Everyone has 13 life)/Any Painland(I get down to 12)/Trikaidekaphobia(GG.)
Come on, don't tell me you didn't recognize them all!
Here's my list, used only one Cloudform though.. then dropped it.. too slow.
Medium to great success at local tourneys (15-25 people):
Vision Charm is a fifth Stifle.
Delvers are nice blockers, possible win-con (a bit of a stretch), still they are always scary for opponent, and they pitch to Force.
