March judgings will be done today or tomorrow, so they should be finished before the deadline.
I correct myself. I unexpectedly had to work today, which pretty much ate the time I'd set aside for judgings. The next opportunity I'd have to do them will be Monday, so it's probably best to proceed without me.
Wait...why are Crusade and Bad Moon regarded as colorshifted? They are similar, but Crusade requires two colored mana, and Bad Moon requires one. This is not exactly what I had in mind with a "color" shift; they really feel like two distinct entities.
Cleanfall isn't the only 'arcane' spell on the list.
Update: Added some Magic 2010 functional reprints. Also, I think I might has missed some Alara Reborn cards (i.e. all of them) folks mind taking a look?
It would have been worse if it was black. For me, the major reason I felt yours and GM's were questionable as a cycle is because they take irridescent in a different direction. It had nothing to do with being in a different color base. I'm sure that someone can pull this cycle off, but it is much harder than by picking other cards from the round.
Actually I've got a more extreme cycle than krynthe's: Elathel trom. In Jaxal1's original card, Purity meant "if you pay only mana of this spell's color, do this effect." Elathel trom's card that followed was basically a splot card, costing GG to do one thing and BBBB to do something completely unrelated. He was disqualified by Arzangremmel, but someone currently has up a card to try to be in the clearly dysfunctional cycle. Word to the wise, you probably want to pick a cycle that made it to round 3 but you definitely want to avoid anyone that was disqualified.
To be fair, I can see how he could have read it as 'if you paid only black' instead of 'only of this spells color'. (Even if 'Purity' would be a terrible name for that mechanic.)
However, if given that, putting it on a green card both is an awkward thing to do with such a mechanic and kinda breaks its ability to be a cycle.
Even if Dryad's Lament used a green purity trigger, it'd be really hard to call it a vertical cycle unless you could strongly indicate, somehow, that there were only three/four cards with that ability in your set (as opposed to something like a vertical cycle in each color, or a couple horizontal cycles or something.)
No. You cannot choose to put it in hand. Your choice is exactly what is specified: You can either play it or not. If you choose not to play it, it is put on the bottom of your library with the rest of the exiled cards.
No. You cannot counter all 3 at once. Cascade does not make a single bigger spell: they are still separate spells. Your counterspell can counter one of them.
Judgings up.

Loam Lion <=> Kird Ape
Instant != Sorcery
You're right. I'll remove it.
Each survivalist would be 6/6. 1/1 printed, +1/+1 counter for itself, then 4 +1/+1 counters for the other four surivalists it sees coming into play.
Re: Warrior's Honor and Glorius Charge: I blame wizards. It was mentioned in one of the articles on M10 reprints.
