I've been trying to put Copper Gnomes into a deck for a while too, but I think more could be done to make it worthwhile.
Smokestack and Basalt Monolith don't seem like they do anything special... Wouldn't you rather put Sundering Titan into play than Darksteel? ...Maybe even Sphinx Sovereign...
Are you kidding me? Playing 4 mana drains in legacy landstill would be insane. I happened to had a chance to play mana drains in landstill before the seperation between the two banned lists(Type 1.5 and 1) and that experience was beyond amazing.
Kind of like how playing with Flash was "beyond amazing"... unless you were being shat UPON: the opponent might have something different to say.
Isn't this supposed to have City of Traitors in it?
I think 7 Armageddon is a bit too many... and Impulse doesn't seem very useful.
I'd go -1 Maiden +1 Phantasm, and mainboard Supression Field, if only just so that you don't auto lose to Aether Vial, but more importantly because it's useful.
Go down to 6-7 Propagandas, you don't need 8. The rest could be Oblivion Rings.
My experiments aren't going so well, so now I suddenly have alot more work to do around the lab. I doubt that I will be able to find time to play Magic for the next few weeks, so I'll just drop and concede 0-2 to my opponent Throst. Good luck on the tournament man.
.... This has happened to me too many times with online tournaments.... my worst matchup beats me and then drops the next round. Apex grr! haha
Even though Complete Jank has been a snob to me in the past, he's right about TIBA. I think way too many exceptions have been made for TIBA in the past. Wasn't a WotC ban for GP Columbus lifted by making them think he was going to Iraq?
OK. But this deck does not use any of them. Every last card (I suppose Snuff out is not quite mainstream) can be found in plenty of other decks. Sorry, I don't want to harp too much on this. I wish Isamaru would get over his issues and rejoin this forum. His ideas were original and reasonably competitive.
When I clicked this on the Source, I thought I had accidentally clickedthe"Legacy Staples" stickied thread, even its sideboard. I just don't think gaodstuff.dec ever works in practice.
At least one or two other people brought this up, yet they immediately struck it down over at the Source, saying "Why should originality matter? We're playing this game to win." ...It's too bad life isn't that simple, isn't it.
What happens when your opponent plays black creatures?

This is like the "Tarmogoyf is bad because creature removal exists" idea... it doesn't work
