I just noticed this today, so i don't know how long they've been doing it, but comedy central has staggered the start times of their shows. I haven't found any information about this, but I'm assuming it's to mess with people who have dvrs and encourage more live television viewing.
I think they either receive less money or don't get anything in ad revenue if someone watches something on dvr. I'm not sure on that though. Any thoughts or more information about this would be appreciated.
i'm not so sure about angel's grace, but i think the ability to play a pseudo time walk is too good to pass up, i know you will most likely play it on turn three, but meh. what cards were you considering for a b/g list?
Is orb of dreams for the hard lock worth it? it seems like if you get any of your locks victory is like ninety five to ninety nine percent going to happen. it just feels like a win more card. and there is always the possibility of shooting yourself in the foot, ie sundials and scepters coming into play tapped.
Ok, I’m at the end of my rope here. I’m looking for an anthology of weird and alternative fiction of the 20th century. It had a story where a guy who can look back in time embarks on a quest for the holy grail and winds up snorting god's blood and meets him face to face.
There is another about a news paper comic character who discovers he has an audience and kind of goes crazy until he accepts it. There is another short story where a kid has to eat cancer to prevent demons from entering the physical world. There is a story set in lord of the rings universe some years later with a racist hobbit in political power. if any of these stories sound familiar and you know the title or if you know the book please let me know.
thanks.
what about hatred in a life gain sort of strategy? you can randomly take opponents out with just your general on board, and with Eternity Vessel or some other life gain 17 life isn't all that much. the same goes for Phyrexian Processor.
The problem being that you have to draw the exact same cards every game out of a 99-card library. This seems highly unlikely to actually go off in a real game.
mana severanceand selective memory say hi!!! seriously though, with a deck built around the combo going off wouldn't be impossible. also, i'm shooting for infinite games within games, not neccesarily infinite shahrazads.
Ok, so I’ve come up with a deck that if you can achieve in edh with shahrazad on the stack, should allow you to cast shahrazad indefinitely, resulting in an infinite number of games within games. (you know, barring disruption).
The deck Mana crypt mishras workshop Mox opal Gilded lotus Rift sweeper Burning wish Tel-jiad stylus Renounce Wheel of sun and moon
With this set up you can resolve a shahrazad with the exact same cards in your library on turn two. (occasionally turn three) Wash, rinse, repeat, until you alienate your play group completely and it stops being fun. Here is the sequence of plays required.
Turn one going second in a multiplayer game
play Mana crypt, Mishra’s workshop, mox opal, play gilded lotus using workshop and crypt mana, use lotus and mox opal to cast wheel of sun and moon and burning wish getting shahrazad. Should have some combination of stylus or rift sweeper or renounce and shahrazad left in hand with one of them in your library.
Turn two
Use workshop to cast stylus, tap gilded lotus for three white, mox opal for green, and mana crypt for two colorless, cast rift sweeper returning burning wish to your deck, cast shahrazad, in response to shahrazad, tap the stylus to put wheel of sun and moon on the bottom of your library, in response to the stylus’s ability play renounce sacrificing everything except the wheel of sun and moon. Let the stack resolve. When the dust settles you’re going into the second sub game with the exact same deck.
what about Gitaxian Probe? i know it sounds bad but here me out. it's great to pre-emptively deal with stuff with revoker, because as far as i can tell, alot of these decks can't deal with turn three deciever, turn four splinter twin crazy pants. but if you know thats coming you can roll out revoker turn two naming deciever and buy more time.
i know it comes across as kinda janky, but if you're going to run such an instant heavy deck, why not semblance anvil? turn stoic rebuttal and cancel into the original counterspell. draw two more off blue sun, get two more cats, turn jaces ingenuity into a champ. with all the card draw you should be able to recover the initial card disadvantage in no time. whats not to love?
ok, leyline of sanctity is nuts. i dont see why you guys are hating on it. it turns off 8-12 cards at least in both the fairies and red, never mind any deck trying to win with valakut. the only thing its not effective against is tier 1.5 decks like elves or white weenie. besides, a few main board day of judgements crush aggro. i think maindeck leylines is the way to go.
ok, i have looked in the forum and have not found an answer to my questions.
1.with a knowledge pool out, can a player cast a spell from their hand, have it exiled, then choose the card they just cast?
2.if i have a knowledge pool out and an opponent plays a spell, with the second triggered ability on the stack, i sacrifice knowledge pool. does the spell get exiled? if so, can they cast a spell exiled with the pool?
3.how does knowledge pool interact with ethersworn cannonist?
here's what you do man, you play black with go for the throat and durress/inquisition. they cant use go for the throat against you if you play all artifact creatures. i also like some amount of blightsteel collosus and treasure mages, just for added tutor/win.

so, what do you guys think? is there a more efficent way of going about this?
