Edit: The post above mine suggests extending the art, and I offered a different idea to increase the playability of GB cards... this is hardly off topic. As EDH players we all want to customize our decks, and most of us try to limit the amount of "off-color" borders in the decks we build. Many players (in the circles I have played in anyway) look upon GB cards with a negative stigma. I convert the white and GB cards that I run to real gold. In a somewhat hilarious way, this makes them 100% ok with everyone that has seen them, or played against them.
Obviously, Un is going to be hard to get reliable sales from in this day and age of competitive MTG play. Everyone knows that an Un set in it's nature is going to have a large demographic that will buy absolutely no packs. Fair enough.
So, how about we as players brainstorm some ideas of how to make the set more marketable?
I imagine that was the driving force behind Conspiracy. Something goofy, yet still pleasing to the competitive players.
Sometimes I sit down at a pod that just takes itself way to serious... enter Zedruu... everyone likes goats.
The whole point of this deck to sow chaos, and cause shenanigans, no part of the board or game state is safe. There is a small mix of "please don't attack me," cards to keep you reasonably safe early game until you can drop enough lands/rocks to power into total anarchy. I played this deck for ten weeks of two games a night, 4-man pods in our local league. By week three, people were asking to have me in the pod they were in, just so they could have more crazy. Over the last year I have made a lot of changes, and at this point the deck is well tuned, and every card pulls its weight.
At this point I activate soul sculptor, and turn merieke into an enchantment with no abilities. Since I didn't lose control of merieke and it didn't untap, then I maintain control of my opponents creature.
If I then untap Merieke with unbender tine or the like, then the "If Merieke becomes untapped, its "destroy" ability will trigger, but you won't lose control of the creature you took before it's destroyed." shouldn't activate?
At this point I could cast a creature,
tap merieke to steal something,
turn merieke into an enchantment,
untap her,
keep the stolen creature,
rinse, repeat.
I have 5-6 EDH decks that are fun, and I always enjoy playing them, but my crowning joy was a Zedruu build that is pure chaos... Never have I had so much fun playing magic. Having a hive mind out, with an eye of the storm, and casting something silly like a thieves auction... hilarity ensues.
I have a Wrexial, the risen deep deck loosely based on the Commandercast $30 wrexial challenge deck, that is incredible fun to play. I don't particularly like mill, so mine focuses on mass discard, and then using what is in peoples graveyards against them.
Vanishing on zur lets you dodge almost all removal. You don't want to give zur phasing, then you lose him every other turn. Vanishing on an opponent's turn means zur comes back in your upkeep.

This is my version: Omnath
soul sculptor and merieke ri berit are in play on my side. I tap merieke to gain control of an opponent's creature.
At this point I could cast a creature,

turn merieke into an enchantment,
untap her,
keep the stolen creature,
rinse, repeat.
Thanks for the help,
Isaac
