Does anyone think I should take out the Desolation Giant? I like him as a good emergency solution mid-game, and he synergizes with Death or Glory, but I don't know. I could use his spot to put another Liberate or Angelic Renewal. A Molten Influence would also be nifty to have.
Thank you for the input! Indeed, I will probably get rid of Dimensional Breach and add an Angelic Renewal per your recommendation. I can't bring myself to remove Death or Glory or Skullscorch; I love those cards (and have used them in a few decks before), and they both offer crushing choices (especially Skullscorch in the first few turns of the game). I see those cards as win-win.
Also thinking of getting rid of the Desolation Giant (as I can only pay the kicker initially; can't flick it) and 1 Parallax Wave in exchange for 2 Death Match.
Thinking of getting rid of Dimensional Breach, but not sure. Just seems really expensive, and I don't have anything in the deck to help me search for lands.
I was originally going to put several Land Tax in there but they're far too expensive.
I don't know what Last Stand or EDH are; my friends and I play nothing past Onslaught block. The card I made is basically for flavor games involving Rainbow v Rainbow battles.
Awesome feedback, though lol. Will really make me think twice about posting card ideas in the future!
Cumulative upkeep WUBRG
Skip your main phases and your combat phase. You have no maximum hand size. You cannot use activated abilities.
At the beginning of your upkeep, gain a life for each Plains you control, draw a card for each Island you control, target player discards a card for each Swamp you control, deal a damage to target creature or player for each Mountain you control, and put a +1/+1 counter on target creature for each Forest you control. WUBRG Gain control of Curse of Arphyn. Any player may play this ability.
I cast Cultural Exchange, a spell which targets the players, not their creatures. If everything must be selected before the spell is put on the stack, what happens if these creatures (which aren't targeted) are removed from play before the spell resolves?
Example A
1. I cast Cultural Exchange and select the two players and specify a number of creatures
2. Cultural Exchange goes on the stack
3. I have priority, and use Nantuko Husk to sack all of my creatures
4. I pass priority to my opponent, who does nothing with it
5. Cultural Exchange resolves, and I gain control of the specified number of creatures.
-or-
Example B
1. I cast Cultural Exchange and select the two players and specify a number of creatures
2. Cultural Exchange goes on the stack
3. I have priority, and use Nantuko Husk to sack all of my creatures
4. I pass priority to my opponent, who does nothing with it
5. Cultural Exchange resolves, but since the specified creatures are no longer selectable, the spell fizzles.
Please try to quote rules if possible, instead of just what you think is right/fair. I want to be sure my friends and I get this right going forward.
As a bonus question, are the "any number of creatures" chosen once the spell is cast? Or just the two target players? Can you site the rule for this?
When are targets chosen for a spell or ability? Is it when the spell is announced (before it is put on the stack), or when the spell is actually being resolved (after it's cleared the stack)?
For example, I cast Disenchant, but my opponent has three enchantments in play. This is how I interpret it:
Example A
1. I pay W1 and announce that I am casting Disenchant
2. Disenchant is put on the stack
3. I have priority, which I then pass
4. My opponent has priority
During this scenario, this is when the opponent has a chance to counter my spell.
5. Now knowing which enchantment I intend to target, my opponent chooses to pass his/her priority as well
6. Disenchant clears the stack, and I choose its target.
Otherwise, it would function like in "Example B."
Example B
1. I pay W1 and announce that I am casting Disenchant, as well as declare its target
2. Disenchant is put on the stack
3. I have priority, which I then pass
4. My opponent has priority, and casts Counterspell
I wish Land Tax was more affordable lol.

I'll post more enchantments here in a little bit.

So you can use newer cards in Vintage?
