I could actually see myself using this for a couple of months in my Sanguine Bond deck or really any deck in general as a sideboard option against mill, which runs pretty rampant at my local shop.
My favorite creature ever is getting reprinted. This is the best ****ing day EVER!!!!!!!
The only thing that would make it any better would be if they reprinted Mutilate or Damnation. But I don't see any of those happening any time soon. Glad to see Shade back.
I've changed this deck around a little bit and it looks like this now
24xPlains
4xMesa Enchantress
4xOblivion Ring
4xJourney to Nowhere
4xFaith's Fetters
4xRecumbant Bliss
4xMartial Coup
2xGauntlet of Power
4xAven Riftwatcher
4xArmored Ascension
2xSigil of the Empty Throne
Sideboard
4xStory Circle
4xArrest
4xSolemn Offering
3xRetether
I've been thinking of running Auratog over Aven Riftwatchers in this deck for a while, but haven't been able to get them.
The deck runs pretty good until I come across a deck not running creatures. Then it's a little more difficult. Still looking for a few more ideas with this deck,so any help would be appreciated.
This is a deck I've been thinking about for a while. LMK what you guys think of it.
24xPlains
4xMesa Enchantress

4xArmored Ascencion

3xSceptor of Fugue???
Right now just have the main deck and could use some help with the sideboard(actually a lot of help).
This is the build for right now and hopefully will find some other stuff to make the deck better. I've also thought about adding red so I could play Blightning and Terminate, and some other stuff as well.
Again this is just something that I've put together kind of quickly and might try to play it a couple of times to see how it goes. Any help with this deck would be appreciated. Thanks again to everyone.
Really, playing 4 Stoutarm's doesn't really hurt the deck that much. Right now the deck runs pretty smoothly(though I may end up dropping the Reflecting Pools for some basic lands) right now.
Balefire Liege actually doesn't slow the deck down that much and the good kind of outweighs the bad. I just like the fact he pumps my guys and makes my burn spells that much better.
He also happens to be a great late game option,as his toughness is out of range for most burn spells, and any burn spell becomes potentially game-ending and any Multi-Colored creature becomes a Lightning Helix, which is always good.
Of course,I would love to be able to fit Mogg Fanatic into this deck, but really don't know anywhere he can go. As I said earlier, the deck runs pretty smoothly right now,so I'm not sure what I would take out for him. As for Isamarru,I really didn't think that the one Toughness between he and Savannah Lions would've mattered that much. But will add him there and see what happens.
Thanks for the suggestions and keep 'em coming. With the season just around the corner,I'm going to keep on testing this and my Gruul deck and see what comes out of them.
4xLightning Helix
4xIncinerate
4xChar
4xScourge of the Nobilis
3xUmezawa's Jitte
Sideboard
4xDevouring Light
4xShatterstorm
4xLeave No Trace
3xFigure of Destiny
I'm wanting to play Figure over Savannah Lions, but not so sure if it's the best build,as Figure seems like it needs a lot of mana to get going and I think it'd be better to drop a Swiftblade on turn 2. That's just me of course.
Anyway,LMK what you guys think. I've tested this deck sparingly(been testing my Gruul deck mostly),but when I'v eplayed it,it always seems to play pretty good and has won a couple of times. Just looking for ways that could possibly make this deck better.
I for one liked Sensei's Divining Top when it came out. I'm a little surprised that it got banned, seeing as to how there was only one deck that really used it(CounterTop,or it seems that that was the only one playing it). The banning really helps my extended decks out,as CounterTop was the worst match-up for me,and now it's just kind of dead without one of it's key cards. Mono-Blue control will still be pretty decent(with stuff like Rune Snag,Remand,Hinder,Mana Leak, and of course Cryptic Command),but right now I'm thinking aggro decks will be really good in extended(really, any two colors could play a decent aggro deck with all the new stuff Shadowmoor and Eventide, and with Ravnica block).
As for Shards, from what I've seen,I'm kind of thinking a little along the lines of Azurefalcon in the fact that it's getting to expensive to play standard and the most expensive cards in the format are mostly Multi-Color cards and the filter lands. All the multi-color cards are good for decks to branch out and try different things, and some really good decks can come out of it(just think back to Ravnca block),but in doing this, most of the multi-colored cards can go for outrageous prices and with the way the economy is right now,it makes harder for players to be able to get the cards that they need to be able to play the decks they want to play.
As for what Gavin should wear,he should wear a bright red sweater with the words I <3 opponent and whenever he goes to his next game, tell them he wants to make out with them, and stuff like that, and can be convincing, then he shouldn't have a problem with winning.
As for my first game,I remember moving after my house burnt down and just happen to bypass a shop going to pick up some gravel one day with my dad. It took a couple of months to go back and everything, trying to remember where it was and all,and I ended up buying an Invasion Tournament Pack and some Apocalypse boosters and a couple of grab bags. I ended up playing WGBR playing CoP's,some of the cards lIke Tribal Flames that get better with each basic land you control, and the Spiritmonger I pulled.
I ended up being crushed mercilessly, playing the 2 best players there in the first 2 rounds, but the people there where cool, with the exception of one,and they all helped me become a better playerfrom then on,and that has whats kept me playing this game for so long.
I've been saying it for a while now,and still feel the same way as I did then. Eventide, though good for Block, will not make a big impact until the extended season. I've almost given up on Block and close to giving up on Type 2 in favor of preparing for the new extended. One of the decks I've got built is a Boros variant and has tested well, with the exception against counterbalence, which destroys this deck. I'll post the list here and let you all see it.
Lands
4xSacred Foundry
4xReflecting Pool
4xBattlefield Forge
4xRugged Prairie
4xBoros Garisson
1xBoseiju,Who Shelters All
1xMountains
2xPlains
Also Lone Missionary could be good,as he's an early game blocker and with Bond out really hurts later on.
Just some suggestions.
