Intuition is to find your missing combo pieces, key cards to win, or answers to problems. You set it up so regardless of the opponent’s choice you will get said card in your next turn.

A brief example, assuming I’m uncontested, would be I have 12 mana next turn and I cast Intuition on the opponent’s end turn before mine. I have a Rune-scarred Demon in hand, but nothing else towards my combo. I search for Tooth and Nail (which fetches Palinchron and Deadeye Navigator) then graveyard recursion cards like Yawgmoth's Will and Eternal Witness to make sure I can use it from my graveyard. Then on my turn assuming I was given Yawgmoth's Will cast Yawgmoth's Will then cast Tooth and Nail entwined then find the infinite mana combo then play Rune-scarred Demon to seal the deal.

Other usage of Intuition really depends on your situation and what you're facing. I would suggest you get better familiar with opponent’s decks and knowing your own deck better so you can fully make use of Intuition. It is one of your most indispensable assets in this deck.

There’s a lot you can do with Crucible of Worlds, because it is open for abuse with fetch lands and Strip Mine. Strip Mine with additional land drop cards, like Azusa, can help hit important lands your opponent’s own or need. Even if you don't run 9 fetch lands the ability to even re-use fetch lands to fix mana or recover from losing land is really welcome in case it ever happens.

You don’t run Lotus Cobra from what I can see, but the little guy can net mana easily with fetch lands, Crucible of Worlds, and additional land drops, which you do play. So maybe give him a try?

I’m highly against the removal of Rune-scarred Demon. He has very good usage with Deadeye Navigator and can be a target for Tooth and Nail in case for some reason you can’t go for the Deadeye Navigator and Palinchron or have to work around hate cards.

I wouldn't cut Blue Sun's Zenith. It’s a utility card and a win-con with infinite mana. Even if you play Damia you won't always have her in play and Blue Sun Zenith can help for when you have extra mana open after opponents' end turns. I see no reason to cut it at all.

For additional reading you can read Epochalyptik’s Primer and strategy for his Damia deck http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/dominus-dreamcrusher-edition/ which does get linked from time to time, and I feel reading the primer and understanding the interactions of the deck can help your own understanding and direction you want to take your own Damia deck.

Has anyone tested ideas unbound? I am more than happy with see beyondsince it gets fury of the hordeout of my hand, but I can't tell which one is more useful.

Also, I wonder what your thoughts are when comparing defense grid and pact of negation. I use grid and I am happy with it, but I feel that is only useful against blue while pact could be useful most of the time.

I've tried Ideas Unbound since I was curious about its applications and it's really a hit or miss. It's good if you have the mana to draw 3 cards and combo on your turn, which means you'd need Pentad Prism when running it, or playing the waiting game on your 2nd turn for a turn 3 Griselbrand, but I'm not liking it overall. I'd rather have See Beyond/Sleight of Hand/Serum Visions in its place.

I use Pact of Negation because there's a lot of Path to Exile where I play and when Path to Exile targets my Griselbrand I draw 7 in response to try and get Pact of Negation to counter.

that list doesn't have pentad prism so i'm not sure how that plays out when using idea's unbound a key piece of mana ramp.

Well I assume the player preferred sculpting the hand and having more land options rather than ramping up with Pentad Prism. Which I guess I can understand, because Pentad Prism has done work for me and sometimes it has just given me the tick. When it comes to side boarding Pentad Prism is the first card taken out for other cards like Defense Grid or Leyline of Sanctity. From my experience it’s good for fast wins and sometimes it’s good for nothing. As for Ideas Unbound I'm guessing that 3 draw 3 discard probally helped a lot on early turns. There isn't much data to work with so it's hard to tell, but I'm going to try it out.

I think the date is wrong with this event: http://www.mtgtop8.com/event?e=7580&d=243484&f=MO but seems like Instant Reanimator did pretty well. Im interested in the use of Ideas Unbound.

Any comments about the deck in general?

My only issue I have is with the white bolded text seen in Oracle text. Just looks strange to me.

I only drafted it once, but there's another one planned this week. I had fun with it. Our group is pretty fun and has many colourful personalities which I felt really added to the fun of the draft. As for the actual playing I got killed by squirrel tokens.

@Ramosgay, what did you side in when you took out Fury of the Horde? Also, do you think its worth playing the BRUg version without Fury of the Horde, and if so, what would you use in its place for the main deck?

I personally feel like it should have been a legendary creature. I mean it is holding up the Heavens!

I've been rolling with Stealthpants's Daddy Kul deck for a few months now and I find the instant reanimations are pretty fun and I want to add some practical data into the thread. I don't play constantly, but I rock up whenever I can. I wouldn't consider myself the best player nor do I play with pros, so perhaps my data should be taken with a grain of salt. I run 2 Boseiju, Who Shelters All in my main deck, since if I need it I can play it, and if not it can be discard fodder, and I dont have any Leyline of Sanctity.

I play against many types of decks every week, some more than others: U-tron, zoo, red deck wins, monoblack control, UR Storm, heartbeat sprint, pod, dark burn, American control, merfolk, and aura hexproof. I find that the deck I use is in a good position against most of the mentioned decks, however, aura hexproof I have not beaten once.

    American control: 4-2
    U-tron: 3-1
    Monoblack: 3-2

Against control decks, I can win thanks to Boseiju and Defense Grid, but I don't like to wait too long against these decks due to Cryptic Command Lightning Helix and Path to Exile. There aren't many control players where I go to. I beat U-tron with no real issues except the occasional no creatures in hand, ever. I haven’t played against the other versions as of yet. Monoblack I try to Thoughtseize any sac cards like Geth’s Verdict. I face a lot of disruption, but I still manage to pull through sometimes.

    Heartbeat Sprint: 2-1
    UR Storm: 2-1
    Pod 2-0

Against combo decks it's really just a race to who goes off first in my experience. Heartbeat Sprint can be hard to stall, so I just race. I find Night's whisper helps a lot in racing. Against UR storm I just mulligan into a Leyline of the Void. I've lost once because I had very litte cards in hand. I don’t know if what I do against UR storm is a good idea, but seems to work for me, kind of. I can’t comment too much on pod. Just that facing no disruption lets me turn on the turbo and outrun them.

    Zoo: 5-3
    Hexproof: 0-3
    Dark Burn: 2-2
    Red deck wins: 3-2
    Merfolk: 4-1

Against aggro decks I have lightning bolt, lightning axe, and Slagstorm which I have found it to be enough to hold off for a few turns till I combo off. Zoo I always find my poor Griselbrand gets a Path to Exile to the face, so I either lightning axe and reanimate on the opponents end step when he's tapped out or jump the shark into an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn before a Griselbrand. I almost always want a Griselbrand out before an Emrakul, but sometimes I feel I have no choice. Hexproof is just a nightmare sometimes if I can't combo out fast enough and hexproof makes most of my red removal useless. Dark burn is just a race in my experience. Not sure how I can improve except side boarding out anything that lowers my life. Same goes for Red deck wins. Merfolk I just bolt, axe, and reanimate. Spreading seas is my only worry in this match up.

I would love to hear advice or any questions regarding this post. Maybe pros to going BRU rather than staying B/R?

Tl;dr the deck is fun and I need to get my hands on Leyline of Sanctity.

    Edit: Typos and forgetfulness.
