My EDH league actually rewards players for changing commanders weekly, so combo decks are few and far between. Also, if everyone has access to the same cards, then a banned list is irrelevant. I feel I should invoke the Digi in this one. In my recent experience has shown, that removing banned cards is both removing restrictions and in increasing enjoyment of the game, rather than the opposite.
Having a league with rewards for changing commanders is pretty neat.
Combo decks tend to win once in our group, and then get rushed if the deck ever makes an appearance again. So it's solved in the meta.
My group ignores the banlist as well. None of us have the power nine or anything, but if we did, we sure as hell would love to use them.
Super stoked for more fetches and full arts! And probably a Nahiri planeswalker for Standard (though with Gideon already there, a second white walker seems unlikely, hrm...)
On another note, new Silumgar makes me happy. It's U/B and doesn't mill!
Yeah! Not mill! Woo! I'm interested to see where the format goes. It's already affecting card prices.
I'll probably make a couple Tony Leaders decks, as I don't like building 1v1 Commander decks. I already have 6 or 7 Commander decks, so a couple of TL decks can't hurt.
Has anyone gotten into Tiny Leaders yet? It's a new format that's making waves internationally.
It's basically commander with 50 card decks and all cards must be CMC 3 or less. The only 2 or 3 colour combination that lacks a Legendary creature at CMC 3 or less is Sultai. The format organizers therefore permit a proxy card "Sultai, Legendary Creature, 2/2" to be used until Wizards makes a Tony Leader for Sultai.
Hi Jesper! As someone who began playing and collecting Magic during revised, your artwork really captured the spirit of the game for me: Bad Moon, Will-o'-the-Wisp, Atog, Goblin King and all your Land illustrations. Simply marvellous work.
Do you have a website where more information is available about these prints?
I present: Sultai! A Tiny Leaders Commander for Black, Green and Blue decks. If you haven't heard about Tiny Leaders, give it a google! It's like Commander, but you're spells must have a CMC of 3 or less, and your deck is limited to 50 cards.
Since there are no current BUG coloured Legendary creatures, the format has a special Legendary card to sit in until one is printed. Here is my take on that card! Flavour text taken from the Uncharted Realms, "The Doom of the Golden Fang."
I got to play this sequence at least 5 times in my 4 matches, and every time it was devastating to my opponent. It's hard to keep up with a curve like this! I'll try to post the full list later!
Ball Lightning, Diabolic Tutor and Expedition Map!
*snip* ~29

I played in three events, I went 1-3-1 with Dimir , 5-0 with Gruul , and 4-1 with Azorius .
10-4-1 across both days, not too shabby. Got some neat rares put not a single Planeswalker or Elder Dragon in the 27 DTK packs I opened. :/

I decided to make a render for this proxy card:

We played FRF+FRF+KTK and I ended up running a solid Dimir deck!
Favourite sequence:
T2: Sultai Skullkeeper (3 copies)
T3: Write Into Being (2 copies)
T4: Gurmag Angler (2 copies)

Time to update my UB Commander deck.
