Thanks for the reply! I always appreciate constructive criticism.
The reason I don't run Probe (and therefore Swiftspear) is that I don't really have room for it. The only real flex spot in my list is the Chain Lightning spot, and I would rather have the extra removal/burn to clear the way for Guides/Pyromancer tokens than having yet another cantrip.
When you say Goyf alternative, do you mean Swiftspear or something like Gurmag Angler that delves?
I think that one of this deck's strongest points is that it has no reliance on the graveyard, even though opponents often assume it does- I almost always have grave hate boarded in against me.
Most of the time I'm playing at the kitchen table. I play a different burn deck, without Price of Progress. I'm noticing that my friends would usually search for basic lands or that there is 1 dual land in play.
Blaze and Blood. I love them both but playing 8 is too many. Blaze is cut to 2 because sometimes drawing too many seemed suck when I'm not playing a land.
This is my current elf deck. I'm very, very happy with Ruric Thar in a format that has so many counterspells and Brainstorms. I would appreciate any advice on this!
