With Origins, we had this awesome card come out, called Jace, Vryn's Prodigy. He is arguably the best card in Standard at the moment, and the $75+ price Tage represents that. Personally, I took a break, I will not play standard when there is a card worth more than $50. So, my question is, when does Origins rotate?

I made the switches that I had mentioned in my earlier post, and I am very happy with the direction if the deck at this exact moment. We had a 5 player moden event on tuesday, and I took 2nd.

Rnd 1 vs U/W/R Kiki control
g1: was way to fast for him and beat him on t5.

G2: ended up racing 2 Restoration Angeles with 3 spirits and promise on board. Casted zealous for win, but he had remand, and lost following turn.

G3: he kept a 1 land, aND I didnt. Won easily.

Rnd 2 vs B/R Zombie Infestation
G1: Flew over him. He only saw a grave crawler and bloodghast.

G2: t2 zombie infestation with squee...couldn't do anything, ended up losing badly.

G3: he mulls to 4 and only hits 3 lands with no infestation. Won easily with Elspesth.

    Rnd3 vs Mono black rack.

G1: obliterator t4 and no path...

G2: he was stuck on 3 land and I flew around.

G3: this was the best game yet...I was at 6, he was at 5. Oblit on board and a mutavalut on board, I have 6 spirits (4 tapped) and Auriok Champ, with Elspesth. He attacks, I miss counted my math, and scoop..after reviewing board, I block with 3 guys, take 4, sac 3 lands, then swing for lethal. I punted it.

Overall, promise is gone. For what, I'm not too sure. I'm happy with it, and I feel that, in the right hands, this is easily a t1 deck. There are a lot of possible lines with this deck, and the sideboard has to be perfect, but overall it's an amazing deck. I'll do a better job next time I post. I'm doing this on my phone.

I think that Relic of Projenitious needs to be MD. The Storm matchup is terrible, and relic helps a little bit. As for the side, I'm going to drop the promise for Liliana of the Veil. Otherwise, I think everything is pretty sound.

Hey guys. I am finally able to post my current deck list. This is an older list, which is just the modern masters event deck, highly modified. I have plans to modify the deck list, and I will go over them after wards with possible changes. I have been playing this deck for only about a month and a half. It isn't the fastest deck, nor is it the best deck, but what really is considered the best deck in modern? That answer is debatable until were blue in the face. Now for less talk, and more deck lists!

First, I want to say that the sideboard is just generic right now. Couple cards I picked up from a buddy who was playing BW tokens, the biggest one is Promise of Bunrei. I think this card has potential. It might be somewhat slow, but you'll mainly bring it in versus the slower control match-ups. I have 6 cards in mind that I want to take out to possibly make this deck better, and those 6 cards are as follows; 2 Honor of the Pure 2 Hero of Bladehold 2 Brimaz, King of Oreskos and 1 Sword of Fire and Ice . The cards I'm thinking about adding are as follows: 3 Thoughtseize and 2 Raise the Alarm and 2 Sword of War and Peace. I don't think we need 6 anthem enchantments, but rather have additional token creators.

I absolutely love Brimaz, King of Oreskos, but I beleive that he is just too slow in this deck, and the same goes for Hero of Bladehold. As powerful as both of these creatures are, they are just too slow. I would like to find room for a 3rd Auriok Champion. This card can make or break the burn match-ups. If you believe you're going to see a lot of burn, I'd even consider going up to 4. Meta dependent though.

I do have some changes I want to make to the mana base. Specifically, I want to put in Fetid Heath and an additional Arid Mesa. I'm not the biggest fan of the Windbrisk Heights for the simple fact that it just seems slightly too slow for what we're trying to do. I could be completely wrong in that analysis though.

I had commented on zergling2525's deck list yesterday, and I think it might be worth trying that style of tokens out. I can't be certain that it is a good version, but it could be worth trying out.

That is what I've been playing as of late. The main problem I have been running into is I don't have enough people to play against. Not a lot of people in my area play modern, and those that do either A) play rouge decks that I just smash or B) play storm and go off t3/t4 consistently. I hope to get some decent feed back on this list. Specifically what people are doing in their sideboards that are different from mine.

Zergling2525, I have analyzed your deck. I actually think I like it. There are a few reasons I do. Life gain. The HeliX seem like they could help a lot in the problem match ups with burn. Young Pyromancer seems like another house in this style of deck. He's a body, and can make more bodies.

I do have a few questions for you though. How is the mana base? Do you ever feel like 3 colors is bad? How is the speed of the deck? And finally, could you see dropping the 3 Lightning Bolts for 3 Auriok Champion. Yes, he's 2WW, but he can be a life saver as well. Hope the deck is working well for you!

    Couple of things:
    1) I've only been playing B/W Tokens for about 3 weeks. I bought the event deck and went with it. After modifying it, I checked this thread out. This list I'm running seems pretty standard for us.

    2) Melissa's deck is a good one, and for obvious reasons. The first is, she isn't trying to do multiple things with it. It's strickly just tokens. I've been using Brimazz and Hero, and they really don't seem to be doing much. I feel like playing a Brimazz on T3 isn't what i want to be doing. It's just too slow. The same goes for Hero on T4.

    3) Gather is pretty bad. Sorcery speed, not flyers. ECT...theres no point in pointing out how bad this card is for our deck. The thing we're missing though, is the fact that it gives us 2 tokens on turn 2. That is reason enough to play it. Dropping two 2CC's for 2 3CC's in Brimazz is even worse. Gather is bad, yes. She also is only playing 2, which isn't too terrible.

In closing, I think her version might be the best I've seen in a while. I'll be posting my deck later today. Please keep up the strong work, and maybe, someday soon, we will make a T8 appearance with B/W tokens!

Has anyone tested Bitterblossom yet? I am new to the B/W tokens deck. I just picked up the event deck, but I've added 2 Elspesth, Knight Errant, 2 Sorin, Solem Visitor, 2 bitterblossom, 2 Pack rat. And the fetches. Straight out of the box I beat B/R burn 2/3. I really do like this deck. Smile
